I hope Iran is listening.

Since Iran clearly wants us to attack them, this will give them an option for speeding that process up.

I gotta be honest, I don't even believe Israel has the fortitude to defend itself fully & with no compromise. Too many Freepers think that this is the 1972 Israel. It's 2006, they are infested with weak people these days. If they took a severe hit, I doubt they would muster much resistance.

This isn't your grandfather's Israel, kids.

Just a flash by Drudge, and an issue I strongly support the President on
Any Freepers have a problem with this?

I have no problem with you supporting the President on any issue you want.

In the case of Iran attacking Israel, I do have a problem. The problem is this. Why wait?

I hope you're talking about the attacking part and not the rebuilding part.

I know it's US policy for decades, and I'd like to believe him, but I just don't see it. A majority of the American public doesn't have confidence in his handling of Iraq. He is in no position now to lead the American people into another war. This is tough talk and the status quo - heaven forbid if something happens, I don't think he has the clout to come through.

Nope. Am totally with the president on this one, and wish I could be with him on more.

Dubya has no street cred. Just a squinting imp trying to act tough.

I strongly disagree with your malicious imp remark.

So I assume you think our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan are.... oh forget it, people like you are incorrigible.

I'm not joking. I don't think he has the credibility to lead the US on another mideast military adventure right now, given that a majority of Americans have no confidence in how he handled the last one.

I believe that Iran would not be so bold without their Russian backers. Russia and China are lurking in the background....very scary.

This is all falling into Bible prophesy. The Bible predicted this thousands of years ago when people didn't understand what God was talking about or who Russia, China, and Iran were. They will attack, and without the USA's help, God is going to show who He is and that He is the ALMIGHTY GOD by turning them into fleeing cowards! Are you saved and serving God? If not, go to this link: http://www.biblelineministries.org/onlinevideo/Video-Salvation-Message.html

Yes, there is a problem with this....fighting a war side-by-side with Israel will turn each and every Islamic nation against us, including the Jordans, Qatars, and even Kuwait. The region would be lost to us for generations, and the 70's gas lines would look like a picnic comparatively.

It sucks, the entire Middle East mess has sucked for us for decades. And I'd love for us to drill into ANWR and anywhere else domestically, but it won't help a whole lot of the Middle Eastern spigot gets shut off, especially with a certified fruitbat sitting atop one of the next largest reserves in Venezuela.

I fully realize this is a fringe opinion/position, but militarily backing Israel is a bad choice to make, even if morally correct.

Oh cut that childish crap out. He's the President of the United States with the ability to order our military into action at a moment's notice and the Congress and public would back him 99%. I can't stand the childish whining.

And if Israel is nuked, what good is that?

Huh? Do you think I am advocating the nuking Israel?
