The NYT conveniently fails to inform that the release was for a specific person and not the public in general.
It used to be grounds for a duel or a gunfight.
John Kerry starts by showing the entry in a log he kept from 1969: "Feb 12: 0800 run to Cambodia."
Feb 12, 1969???
uh..... senator I thought you were in Cambodia on Christmas of 1968??? After all you said it was seared, SEARED, into your memory?
Wait.. my bad, I recall now. Christmas of '68 was postponed to Feb of '69 due to lack of snow.
And silly me, I got rid of all my Kerry files. And I had that good one where he was pressing for American troops on the ground to Cokie Roberts after Clinton signed the Iraqi Liberation Act.
LOL! You know, I almost deleted my Kerry files too but at the last second decided they might be needed again one sad day.
I'll lend you any links I have that you might want.
When (if) the time comes, I'll remember that and will start rebuilding the file for links. It will be just too delicious if he runs again.
arggh! you deleted the Kerry files??
arrgh!!!!
was hoping they were available for 2008; even if he didn't run for Prez, could use them for the Senate race...
We'll get those files back; and I'm sure a ton of them are archived on FR under the search term "Kerry".
Yea, like a three month (or less) tour in VietNam doesn't tell eveything! Scumbag!
I remember spending Christmas Eve of 1968 five miles across the Cambodian border being shot at by our South Vietnamese allies who were drunk and celebrating Christmas. The absurdity of almost killed by our own allies in a country in which President Nixon claimed there were no American troops was very real.Article Kerry wrote for the Boston Herald on October 14, 1979.
Release dates for Apocalypse Now, USA; Aug 15, 1979
Plot Outline: ... We follow Captain Willard on his mission into Cambodia to assassinate a renegade Green Beret who has set himself up as a God among a local tribe.
[ I'm sure the similarity and timing is a coincidence. (hahhaha) ]

Good one! And Kerry was talking about President Bush when he said that, as I recall.

"His aides are still looking it over."
It is odd how his former crew will assist screening records to find the so called truth. Kerry bragged about getting them reassigned to safer duties when he bugged out. After accepting such a deal they must be considered beholden to Kerry.
