Bless you and your ilk.
Thanks, Ronnie. I will watch, and will never, ever forget.
Thanks Ronnie for all you did and have done. I was going to put this movie on later anyway.
My Dad was behind you about 6 months later as a chopper pilot. He told me about finding remains in Ia Drang. Two tours including spook stuff and Thank God he came home to us intact.
bump for publicity
I've been waiting all day..........
It's a good movie. The Patriot was on when I got up this morning so the wife and I laid in bed and watched the last hour of that too.
"We Were Soldiers" is THE best war movie I've viewed. Heartwrenching, though.

We won't forget!
"WE WERE SOLDIERS" is a great tribute to the sacrifices of our military in Vietnam.
Amazing how long it took to get to the major networks. I wonder what they will cut? Still, I am glad that it made there at all.
Thanks for the info - great movie!
Thanks for your courage and service.
My brother-in-law also served under Col. Moore, I think it was late '65 and '66, though I am not sure. He arrived after Ia Drang. but served with a few of the guys who were there.
He ran into Col. Moore at the opening of the movie (he knows one of the co producers who also served under Moore). When my B-I-L met Col. Moore at the screening he addressed him as "Col. Moore", then quickly corrected himself and referred to him as General Moore). Gen. Moore looked at his lapel pin, recognized the insignia of his old unit and replied:
"Son, you earned the right to call me Colonel and they gave me my stars because of guys like you." Class man, that Mr. Moore is.
speaking of the viet vets, what hat is kerry talking about? does he have one that says, I want to Cambodia and all I got was this lousy hat?
God Bless.
sorry about the spelling, I meant to type WENT TO CAMBODIA AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY HAT
