It wouldn't hurt if somebody would gag that senile old Warner, either. He reached his zenith when he was married to Liz Taylor. (Doesn't say much for him, does it?)

There is no difference between Murtha, Kerry, Kennedy, Durbin, et.al.

Add Tokyo Rose to that list.

The top Republican said: "I respect my friend, John Murtha. Well, I do not. Nor would I ever be proud to call him a friend.

Saw a clip of Murtha's statement on CCTV this morning. What is Murtha's motivation?

'Asked about Murtha's claim that Marines executed residents of the village of Haditha "in cold blood," Sen. Warner told ABC's "This Week":
"At this time, particularly on Memorial Day . . . I think we should be calm and reassuring to the American people that the men and women of our armed forces are admirably and professionally conducting their heavy responsibilities."
The top Republican said: "I respect my friend, John Murtha. I also was privileged to wear the Marine uniform. But we've got to let the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the investigation system, proceed before we reach any conclusions on this matter."'
These were quotes from Senator Warner. How come they didn't appear in the Washington Post article, which was via an Associated Press contribution? Hmmmm ... I wonder!

I have lived in VA since 1984!!! I can count on my right hand how many times he has run opposed. Never any primaries for us to get rid of him.

I always hate the way these phony bastids refer to their sorry assed colleagues as the "Honorable" or the "esteemed" or "my Friend" . Call a spade a spade, call Murtha the asshole he is.
To: Carl/NewsMax
Murtha said there was "no doubt" that the accused Marines were guilty Every time I see this senile old fart shooting off his mouth on TV I get the feeling that something is missing .... and I just figured it out. To complete the picture he should be wearing a burka.

Not everyone that serves in the military is someone you would want to watch your back or who's hand you would put your life into.
John Murtha is one of those.
Suburban Warfare is high-risk Mr. Murtha, our soldiers are in fear of their life at all times and must protect themselves and their fellow soldiers at all times.

What is Murtha's motivation? Discrediting Bush and the Iraq war.

Vets are entitled to a measure of respect for their service to their country, no question about it. However, their actions post service can easily diminish or even cancel out that respect.
Murtha, regardless of what the Marines did or didn't do, has earned disdain. He may have been honorably discharged, but he has dishonored the country and the military by seeking glory at the expense of others. The truth will come out and the guilty will be punished. But for now, Murtha's lack of character has been revealed.

"What is Murtha's motivation? "My guess is that Murtha was chosen to try to spin another Me Lai out of whatever happened. Same old dumbascrap approach. You know, 32 year retired Marine, Vietnam veteran, two purple hearts, standard war hero profile etc.
I can't help wondering what real war hero Oliver North thinks of him.
