Isn't it funny that after CBS's bogus memo fiasco, the blatantly false Koran flushing story. Which sparked deadly riots. Isn't it funny how when one drive-by outlet pushes a story everyone else just runs with it. The liberal major media in our country (not theirs)hates the military and has no conscience when it comes to telling lies about the boys and girls in uniform.

NBC News in New York today at 5pm, Sue Simmons reported that President Bush mentioned today his concern for the "Massacre" in Haditha; then they play the clip of Bush making his comments and maybe I am deaf, but I didn't hear him say the word "Massacre" at all...ramp it up MSM, have your fun.

If they tell a lie over, and over, again...they hope others believe.

The MSM, CNN being the cheif culprit, are unwilling to state the facts and rational behind the war on terror, let alone how Iraq factos in on that...because the facts dont serve their agenda, and CNN has no problem with being irresponsible.

I am so, very, tired of those cretins.

So why did some men in Kilo Company apparently snap? Perhaps because of the stress of fighting a violent and unpopular war -- or because their commanders failed them. Military psychiatrists who have studied what makes a soldier's moral compass go haywire in battle look first for a weak chain of command. That was a factor in the March 1968 My Lai massacre in Vietnam, when U.S. soldiers, including members of an Army platoon led by Lieut. William Calley, killed some 500 Vietnamese.

For the press, every war is Vietnam. There are no other conflicts in American history.

This story is unpleasant for all of us. But violent fantasies against the press may not be the best response.

Eason jordan, head of cnn, admitted to the COVERUP of saddam's horrific crimes against muslim arabs so that his news organization wouldn't lose their access in iraq. But that doesn't count.

Well, it doesnt appear diplomacy is working...so...the citzenry has a right to go all "1776" on them? Can you recall what the revolutionary colonists did too the loyalist press? (hint-they didnt sue them)

BTW, I wonder if there are any class action lawsuits pending against CNN for their distortions of the truth...linking them to enabling enemies of the republic. I realize that might open Pandora's box in regard to FREE SPEECH, FREE PRESS, but they have been so flagrantly over board in the last several years, that something surely can be done against them legally.

I for one am damn tired of hearing all of the media including Bill Orealy start out the argument with the ever popular " well if they're guilty, they must be tried and convicted.

This is complete BS!!! I am one American who believes in our troops and if they kill 19 or 50 or 500 in a battle and it saved ONE American kid's life......then it was damn well worth it. About time, Americans said Screw the rest of the World, our troops are fighting for us and the hell with everyone else.

Oh, I see the unerring media have already convicted the entire unit without trifling over niggling matters like facts or investigations. If it was any institution but the NEWS MEDIA, you'd almost think it was unAmerican and unfair. But since the media have never been known to report anything incorrectly, or to reach specious, unfounded, and laughably invalid conclusions, we'd better commission a firing squad pronto.

Don't forget their bogus Tailwind story. They eventually retracted that one after it was proved to be nothing but lies. And bad lies at that.

Tale a look at this excerpt:
Khaled Raseef, a spokesman for the victims' relatives, says U.S. military investigators visited the alleged massacre sites 15 times and "asked detailed questions, examined each bullet hole and burn mark and took all sorts of measurements. In the end, they brought all the survivors to the homes and did a mock-up of the Marines' movements." As the detectives found contradictions in the Marines' account, "the official story fell apart and people started rolling on each other," says the military source.

Keep in mind that the charges are based on this, and the testimony of a 9 year old girl. She stated that one of the "civilians," here father was in his room reading the koran during the firefight. This story, like most accounts related by our press come from the enemy. Keep in mind that when terrorists get shot, the instant their body hits the dirt they become devout civilians. The bodies are removed quickly, or disarmed by their companions. Note also that terrorists kill indiscriminately, without remorse.

There is nothing in this story but rumors.

Not at all. Just like the second amendment doesn't protect any right to shoot people, the first does not protect libel or slander. Although one does have the right, infringed in many states, to shoot people in self defense, defense of others, and to protect property.

Of course I'll bet they've been careful not to name individuals, so a class action would be the only way this could be done. Should they wrongly accuse individuals by name, their lawyers will be busy for decades. CNN-Time Warner may not have enough money to pay the judgments against an entire company of Marines. Let's hope not at least.

That's what King George and Governor/General Gage thought too.

While you are likely correct, I wouldn't be completely sure about it.

Those are for stomping, not kicking. Of course you could mount a set on your steel toed boots, and stomp on 'em after you kick 'em.
