The media has been reporting business connections between the bin Laden family and Bush senior for a couple of years now. It took us this long to dig up a connection between the same people and Jimmy Carter?

No it isn't. You're right. Just pointing up how different the MSM reporting will be, if there is any reporting at all. For all the hoopla the MSM put out about the supposed Bush/Bin Laden connection, I truly expect that when we tune in to CBS and the others, we will be hearing nada on the Carter-Bin Laden connection.
ex-President Carter had ties to Iraqi Agent, Samir Vincent, who admitted to participating in the massive Oil for Food scam, as an Iraqi Intelligence Service agent who reported directly to Saddam Hussein.
Carter is a small, small man. Whenever I see him I think about how he had people call him for permission to use the White House tennis court--even if he was on Air Force One.

There is a tradition where ex-presidents receive regular classified briefings forever. I would expect that Clinton and Carter should forfeit theirs due to their many financial and business conflicts of interest with sworn enemies of USA. However, Dubya is probably reluctant to end any traditions for two reasons: (1) Clinton and Carter would squawk like babies, and (2) Dubya would not wish to get cut out in the future of any inside info. Mutual admiration society. Makes one ill.
And here I was thinking Carter hates Israel and loves Hamas for free.
The truth of the matter is that the Bin Laden family disowned Osama during the 1990's. Since they inflicted the damage and stuck it on Bush about the relationship, expect the MSM to loudly reveal the disowning to shield Jimmah.

As long as an x-president can travel the world censuring the US on foreign soil and encouraging/working with our enemies/causing more trouble in "the modern world" - he is relevant.
