It's why we do it, folks. It's fun, it's uplifting; and it's even more enjoyable now that warm weather has returned.
FReepers from all over the country have visited DC, had a great time seeing Washington's incomparable monuments and museums, and made the time to stand with us in honor of our wounded and in support of their families. Come and stand with us this Friday, and lots of Fridays!
Ample parking on the streets. We order pizza. See you there!
Ping!
You guys just totally rock! I love the new thread "style" today! It produced several belly laughs!
FReepmail me to get on or off the list.
Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.
We need to continue to have sufficient numbers to occupy the four corners of the main corner. Failing that, the Pinkos may end up returning from their exile, a block away where their heartless psych op against our wounded heroes is greatly hindered. Help our troops by showing up and insuring that the Pinkos don't get back to a prime corner, where they would again be in the faces of our wounded troops.
Our troops are bold enough to face bullets, mortars, IEDs, and suicide bombers. Are you bold enough to get out from behind the keyboard, FReep in person, and stand up for the wounded troops at Walter Reed?
If you're in the DC area and don't have family, work or medical considerations that keep you from FReeping, can you spare a few hours on a Friday night? Will you?
Great report, Albion. Just one addition...
Mari Blome, 50, the gal with the dulcimer who tried to get onto the post on May 26, was arrested on May 18th for trespassing at the home of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. She was locked up for nearly 24 hours, until she could be processed out, with a court date of June 1 at 9am. When she was arrested at Rummy's, she apparently gave the police only one of her names (her other aka, according to Gael Murphy, is "Toby")
I wonder what else Mari Blome was trying to sneak into WRAMC under cover of "playing music" for the wounded troops? Afterall, she does belong to the Code Pink Insurgency.
Please tell me that last pic was photoshopped!!!
OOPS! Sorry everybody for the double ping. While I was typing out my comment, BillF had already pinged you. I better go have some ice cream as punishment...
Most excellent after-action report, Albion and excellent pics, Mrs. TroopRally!
Mrs. Taxman and I enjoyed ourselves immensely last FRiday night. It is always a moving and uplifting experience to stand with the DC Chapter in FRont of the main gate at WRAMC and support our service men and women for their sacrifices on our behalf.
We'll be back!
For those of you who have not attended a WRAMC FReep, let me urge you to do so. It is quite an experience, and well worth your time and effort!
What a bunch of disgusting dogs those women are.
Great work. Thanks for posting.
Those photos are a scream. You have to wonder if those women named their children moon puppy or poppy bloom.
You people are absolutely wonderful! Great rally, great report, great pics, and great morale-boosters for our wounded warriers and their families!
I wonder if these characters flashing the "V" sign understand that Richard Nixon used it all the time when he was campaigning - might cause them some consternation if they did.....
I've been told that there was a time during the Viet Nam war when many a beautiful maiden sheathed a young warrior's sword within her body to prevent him from going off to that war.
That time was refered to as the Summer of Love...
Code pink seems to be made up those that were rejected during that summer by even the horniest of Marines.
well almost.
This woman in #3 really, really needs a bigger tent.
Zero calories below (if you consume via internet only). Heck, you rate the real thing.
Importantly, NO pink ice cream in it.
Only her OB/GYN knows for sure.
