"KPA Air Force Command Warns against U.S. Ceaseless Military Provocations
Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The Air Force Command of the Korean People's Army
released today the following report on the ceaseless military provocation perpetrated
by the U.S. imperialist warmongers: The U.S. imperialist warmongers committed one
more military provocation by infiltrating a strategic reconnaissance plane into the sky
above the DPRK's economic waters on June 16.
At around 8:00 Friday an "RC-135" of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces
illegally intruded into the sky above the waters of the DPRK east of Chongjin,
Hwadae and Riwon and spied on its strategic targets for hours, being refueled in the midair.
The ceaseless illegal intrusions of their strategic reconnaissance planes on spy missions
have created an imminent danger of military clash in the sky above those waters.
The KPA Air Force warns them once again that should those planes persist in their reckless
air espionage despite its repeated warnings, they will not be able to escape the same end as that
of a tiger moth fated to perish in the flames and the responsibility for that will wholly rest
with the U.S. imperialist warmongers."

The multi-stage intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 15,000 km is capable of reaching the United States. We hate to guess what sort of dreadful result would be brought about if the missile is actually test-fired. It was right for the Korea and U.S. government to express concern, urging the North to stop the preparation immediately.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "After relatively quiet weekend, Red Dawn alert systems again heard in southern town of Sderot, as Qassam rocket hits school, smashes windows in place. No injuries reported in strike, but electric poll sustains damage, power supply disrupted in area
After a relatively quiet weekend, the residents of Sderot awoke Sunday morning to the sound of the Red Dawn alert system, followed by a loud explosion caused by yet another Qassam rocket that was fired at the town.
The rocket hit a school in town and damaged an electric pole, consequently disrupting power supply to several houses in the area.
A few windows were smashed in the school buildings, but fortunately no injuries were reported, as the place was vacant at the time of the attack."

"Japan warns North Korea over any missile launch"
By Teruaki Ueno
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso warned North Korea on Sunday that Tokyo would regard any missile that dropped on Japan as an attack.
Aso made the comments amid reports North Korea could test fire an intercontinental ballistic missile as early as Sunday.

"If it is dropped on Japan, it will complicate the story. It will be regarded as an attack," Aso said on a Fuji TV programme.
"The possibility is not zero of a missile dropping on Japan. That's why we are worried," he said.
"We always have to think of a worst-case scenario."
Kyodo news agency, quoting unnamed diplomatic sources in New York, said Japan and the United States would seek immediate action by the United Nations' Security Council if North Korea went ahead with a missile test.
Aso stopped short of saying what Japan and the United States would do in the event of a launch.
But he said: "The responses will be rather harsh".
North Korea had moved components of a long-range missile to a launch pad along with 10 liquid-gas tanks to fuel it, a South Korean daily newspaper reported on Saturday, citing government officials for the information."

Laptop With D.C. Workers' Data Stolen
Newsday.com ^ | June 18, 2006, 12:32 AM EDT | AP

WASHINGTON -- A laptop containing the Social Security numbers and other personal data of 13,000 District of Columbia employees and retirees has been stolen, officials said.
The computer was stolen Monday from the Washington home of an employee of ING U.S. Financial Services, said officials with the company, which administers the district's retirement plan.
The company did not notify city employees of the theft until late Friday because it took officials several days to determine what information was stored on the laptop, ING spokeswoman Caroline Campbell said. The laptop was not password-protected and the data was not encrypted, Campbell said.
The company said it was working with district police and had hired a private investigator.
Police would not confirm the theft Saturday. City officials said they were disturbed about how the data was stored and that the company waited to report the theft. "We are concerned that this information was being managed without protection," said Mary Ann Young, spokeswoman for the city's chief financial officer. She said the district expects details about the incident from ING this week. The company has sent letters to all affected employees warning them of the possibility of identity theft. ING also will set up and pay for a year of credit monitoring and identity fraud protection, Campbell said. "For us, this is very unfortunate," she said. "But we're moving forward, we're very focused and committed to find any other laptops that don't have encryption software and to fix that. This incident revealed a gap."
Two other ING laptops containing information on 8,500 Florida hospital workers were stolen in December, but the employees were not notified until this week, said ING spokesman Chuck Eudy. Neither laptop was encrypted, he said.

US halts issue of visas to Hondurans
Reuters ^ | June 19, 2006
Posted on 06/18/2006 12:35:39 AM PDT by RWR8189
TEGUCIGALPA - The United States has stopped issuing travel visas to Hondurans indefinitely, saying lax rules in the Central American nation let third-country nationals obtain local passports used for travel to America.
The US embassy in Honduras said on Saturday it had ordered the issue of all new visas to Hondurans suspended. This week, local authorities arrested two Cameroon citizens trying to obtain Honduran passports using fake identity documents.
"The controls are not sufficient for us, and it is our responsibility to protect the United States," the embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission James Willard told local radio.
Central America is seen as a relatively easy route to the United States by some African and Asian immigrants.
Last week, Honduras warned it had become a new route for Cuban immigrants bound for the United States, with an increasing number washing up on the Caribbean coast on their way to the US border.
The embassy said in a statement it was concerned about the ease with which people were able to obtain Honduran birth and marriage certificates, identity cards and passports.
"Since these documents have been used to enter the United States, this problem continues to be a matter of national security for the United States of America," it said.
Honduran authorities said they would take action to purge possibly corrupt elements from the government bodies that issue identity documents.
Foreign Minister Milton Jimenez said local and international organized crime groups were involved in the trade of Honduran passports and identity documents.
"These are mafias with huge amounts of money, with connections in powerful sectors of the country. They have made people trafficking into a very profitable business," he told reporters.
In 2005, former Director of Migration Roman Romero was fired for allegedly issuing visas illegally to Chinese citizens.

Joschka Fischer to Teach at Princeton
Der Spiegel ^ | June 17, 2006 | dsl/spiegel
Posted on 06/18/2006 1:58:03 AM PDT by Atlantic Bridge
Former German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer has accepted a teaching gig at Princeton. Starting this fall, he will teach international crisis diplomacy to the next generation of American elites.
The Bush administration didn't much like what Joschka Fischer had to say during the Iraq war. So what will Washington say now that the former German foreign minister is trading his parliament seat for a professor's cap at Princeton? This fall, Fischer will teach the next generation of American elites about international crisis diplomacy at the university.

'Hijack' drama on S African plane
A passenger on a South African Airways flight has apparently tried to stage an armed hijack, the airline says.
He tried to get into the cockpit but was overpowered, said airline spokeswoman Jacqui O'Sullivan. The type of weapon used has not been disclosed.
The plane had just taken off from Cape Town bound for Johannesburg when the drama unfolded, said Ms O'Sullivan. No-one was injured.
The flight returned to Cape Town where a 21-year-old man was held by police.
"It appears a passenger threatened a crew member with some sort of weapon demanding access to the cockpit," Ms O'Sullivan said.
"The passenger was subdued and no-one was injured."
A passenger on the plane told Reuters news agency the man was believed to be a foreign national, but it was not clear what was behind his actions.
The type of weapon involved was not known, said Ms O'Sullivan.
Since Tsouli's arrest, Weisburd says police have asked him to resubmit the information he passed on months before.
5 years after 9/11 and tips from the public are still being ignored. Our policing sucks.

Well, the good news (second only to the arrest) in this case was:
