The point made by the article is that the continent is populated by atheists and/or de facto atheists.
This is a wild claim.
My wife is an Italian national, and I lived abroad for a number of years.
Agnosticism is rampant. Atheism isn't.
The statement is at best careless and at worst preposterous.

That is an excellent point. Radical Islam and the Left disagree over almost everything else except their common hatred of America and that makes them bedfellows. When Radical Islam takes over a nation the leftists lose their freedoms but their hatred for capitalism and America supercedes that.
Good point about the hatred of the US and capitalism, I meant to include that point in my post. Reminds me of Hitler using homosexuals as concentration camp torturers and than turning on the homos in the end.

In short. Europe is hell bent on committing cultural suicide. In time, Islam will complete its invasion, throw the stinking corpse out of the window, and take over the digs.

Does no one see the parallels with the notions of "guest workers", and what becomes of them (they become PERMANENT "guests"), and of their offspring?
Does no one see the parallels when considering what will become of American culture 50 years from now?
How can the leadership and elites of America - which (right now) seem so hurried to sell out the Euro-Americans and their nation to hordes of aliens that they are stumbling over themselves down in D.C. to pass "immigration reform".....

Indeed. Europe faces a holocaust which will make the previous one resemble a pajama party by comparison.
It is inevitable. There is no way to stop it, at least no "other path" which will be taken that can prevent it. By the time Europeans aquire the stomach and the will (read: "Triumph of the Will") to deal with Islam, no other solution but a bloodbath will be before them.
We of The West can only hope that the blood which is spilled (which MUST be not only the blood of soldiers, but of women and children as well) is mostly Muslim, rather than European.
Europe's only hope against Islam is to ultimately treat Islam _MORE_ viciously than Islam would treat Europe, if Islam gains the upper hand.
A gruesome thought. But inescapable.

I highly doubt we or Europe will use nukes before Europe is attacked and occupied. Russia and China would have their hands on their triggers. The danger of escalating to MAD would be too great. I think we'll decide to bear the brunt for the moment.
However, when we liberate Europe (late 2030s?), we'll have a pure fusion delivery system, which don't have the radioactive after effects of fission delivery and can be smaller. Also, the atrocities the occupying Islamics will commit will be reason enough to justify a collateral response. Russia might even help some. So the will to use them will be there.
My sketchy timeline is partly based on a Cold War analogy - 40 years from 1950 to win that one = 40 years from 2001 to win this one.

To make the statement that EU would not fall to Islamofascism is the most unenlightened statement I have heard. And to say because they are Atheist is going to be their salvation is even more hard to take. Any continent that has a histroy of allegience with the Islamofascist and follows an evil National socialist, will have no problem bending over for OBL.

Your statement reflect exactly my thinking; namely at the end, the Eastern Europeans will save the Westerns out of their self inflicted demise.
I do know for a fact that Eastern Europeans give very little credence to "multiculturalism", "political correctness" etc.
They are very patriotic, staunch defenders and believers in God, Country and Family and very loyal allies in times of need.
The majority of the Eastern European nations have been under Communist subjugation for decades and believe me they are not going to allow anyone to take away from them the newly found freedom.
How do I know them?...I was born there!
