Haditha didn't state if any other family members were aware of the bomb?Well,if 12 year old Haditha knew about an impending explosion out front of her home, rest assured the rest of the family was aware of it too.
Strange wording. Sounds coached to me, a 12 year old would have just called them soldiers, IMHO..
Was she the one with he shrapnel wound?
This whole thing stinks of a pre-Hollywood movie gone bad.
"I was planning to go to school. I was about to go out of bed. I knew the bomb would explode so I covered my ears," the youngster said, according to a CNN translator.
What strikes me as odd here is that she knew it was going to happen. That means that either she is lying, OR, that the Marines are "on a schedule" with these routs. If the former, then 'nuff said. If the latter however, then who the hell's in charge over there ensuring that routes are regular and that they occur at about the same time daily?
That's the very first thing in the intelligence business that they tell you to avoid, regular schedule an patterned behavior!
Be sure to watch Leventhal's interview with John Gibson at Video: Haditha link.
Haditha ping.
You got the story wrong. 9y/o Eman Waleed Talked about covering her ears for the bomb that hit the vehicle. Safa Younis was from the 2nd house.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Gunmen killed one Russian embassy employee and kidnapped four others in Baghdad on Saturday, Russian and Iraqi officials said, in the latest attack on foreigners in the lawless capital.
A car bomb in the southern city of Basra killed at least 15 people and wounded 30, police said. It came three days after new Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced a security crackdown there.
What part of the #&%$ing world do liberals think we're dealing with? Does age prove innocence?
There are hundreds of similar photos on line!
I don't give a flying f--- if civilians knew of the bomb. Nothing short of a direct threat from armed civilians justifies slaughtering them.
"We want the Americans to be hurt just like us," she told the cameraman from her cousin's house, where she is now living.
In one of the homes, Marines ordered four brothers inside a closet and shot them dead, said the Haditha lawyer, Khaled Salem Rsayef.
Rsayef said several of his relatives _ including a sister, brother-in-law, aunt, uncle and several cousins _ were killed. He and his brother, Salam Salem Rsayef, spoke to The Associated Press by telephone from the Euphrates River town of 90,000 late Thursday and Friday.
Despite the Iraqi government's insistence of cooperation between the U.S. and Iraqi investigations, the Rsayefs said they and other victims' families refused the request several months ago to exhume the bodies, which is prohibited in Islam.
The Rsayef brothers met at least four times with U.S. military investigators looking into the killings. They said the meetings began in February and were held at Samarra General Hospital. The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, the two brothers said, suggesting that the U.S. investigations are not finished.
Khaled Salam Rsayef identified the four brothers killed in the closet as a car dealer, a traffic policeman, an engineer and a local government employee. He said the U.S. military did not compensate their families because the brothers were believed to be insurgents.
The lawyer said his account of what happened was based on his personal observations from the rooftop of his home and windows. He said his house is several dozen yards away from the three homes raided by Marines. The killings, which he did not witness in person, were recounted to him and other members of his family the following day by survivors, he said.
Why did they go straight to HER house? Was it the only house in the area?
If this is true, it is no reason to kill children. Still, being in the situation is different from discussing it from our safe comfortable homes. I can see the other side. How some marines could have "lost it" in the heat of the passion. Sad all around.
If they did do this, it was wrong. But it was more wrong for the adults of this household to put their children and other family members at such risk. At the very least, they should have moved family out of harm's way if they are going to be war participants. You don't go to war hiding behind your children.
The plot thickens...
This statement by the "witness" raises all sorts of doubts about the credibility of the Murtha-jihadist propaganda version of the story, as you well know. If a 12 year old knew about the IED then others in the house surely did, too. Were some of her family members involved, or did they 'merely' see the jihadists setting up the IED? They knew a 500 lb. bomb was going to go off in front of their house and they did not flee the area?????? Anyone would know that all hell would break loose after the explosion, with a likely firefight and home searches, etc. Either the family was being kept their against their will in order to become victims, or else they were part of the plot. This all smells like a jihadist agit-prop set-up.
