Favorable: 58% Unfavorable: 35% Can't Say: 7%
And, I assume, the registered voters were all dems?
No, I think it's just that people tend to forget (and revisionist history doesn't help). As bad a president as Jimmy Carter was (much worse than Clinton IMO), he is viewed more favorably by both the public and historians than when he left office. Neither man's record has changed, but the spin has changed opinions.
When in history has an Ex President been so polled over and fawned over. It seems in the past that you had to die before that happened at all. I am so tired of Bill Clinton.
Clintoon only has a favoriable opinion because he's kept himself mostly out of politics. How can you have an unfavorable opinion of an ex-president who is doing tsumani relief?

The Clinton era was a relatively pacific one, in which the good times rolled, and we had budget surpluses. Plus the guy has a certain charm. The numbers do not surprise me.
This is what I always hear about Clinton from those types..."he kept us out of wars...didn't illegally invade a country...and the economy was perfect with a zero budget"...I then remind them of Bosnia...with NO UN approval...the Bush economy is just as good if not better...and I just get blank stares.

You know, if somehow, he would be indicted; maybe a stop would be put to this nonsense that he is so great and we could all get a good nights rest knowing justice was being done.
On paper we had surpluses. It was the accounting scandal that was bigger than Enron but never reported as such.
Relatively pacific...hmmm the calm before the storm by his usual overlooking the build up of terrorist activities and his stripping of the military budget to create a surplus, yeah, he had a certain charm. A sociopath's type of charm; a con man to boot. The numbers don't surprise me either; the people that liked him before lived in a dream world of his making, the crap hit the fan towards the end of his illustrious career as president, both the step up in terrorist attacks and the collapse of the dot.com go-go economy. He will go down in history as one of the worst presidents, and his dalliances were better than Harding's or Roosevelts. And to finish, I'm sure plenty other parents had the following problem; after all his sexcapades in the White House making the news, it was a wonderful experience trying to explain to a seven year old what a hummer was....
I have a favorable opinion of Bill Clinton being out of office.
58% Favorable. ROTFLMAO! FOX is getting as bad as MSN. Those bozos still haven't learned the DNC tactic of telling their comrades that when they are interviewed or "polled," they should describe themselves as "republicans who voted for Bush." It's not rocket science but if "pollsters" were intelligent, they'd have real jobs.
