Good evening.
"A good instructor will cure a shooter of that problem with about five minutes of instruction."

A single inadvertent squeeze of the trigger and a .45 round in the thigh might cure him, too.

I've been shooting 1911s since I was 10 and I have never heard of such stupidity.

Good evening.

For fun, pretend that your strong hand has been injured.

Draw, deal, with all bells and whistles and fire accurately with your weak hand. It's a bear.

I practice weak hand draws, reloading and malfunction clearance on a weekly basis. It is a bear, but you can train to it.

Good evening.

I've been in for-real gunfights and I have always been lucky enough to do things the right way, in time.

I admit to not liking Glocks, primarily because of ergonomics but also for the reason you like it. Many people I know who shoot 1911s train, physically and mentally to do it right. Too many people I know who shoot Glocks don't and too many people have NDs with them because of the absence of a safety. I'm used to procedure and follow it. The Zen of pistol shooting, eh.

I also find that aircraft-carrier-deck of a slide to be distracting.

That said, if anyone out there has a Glock that they want to give away, I promise to give it a good home.

No wonder the gun grabbers are afraid of Americans.

What did you do to correct the horrible trigger on your High Power?

You might want to contact Cylinder and Slide in Nebraska. As far as I know, there's NOBODY better with the High Power than Bill Laughridge and his guys. They're also really well known for work on Colt revolvers as well, and they're top-notch gunsmiths in general. But their HP and Colt work is pretty much the best anywhere.

Guys, he was making a non-thread-related comment to me about my tagline and implying the Biblical Truth that, even though they were God's Chosen and remained so, they had proved His point that they could not follow the Commandments, which condemned them to Eternity in Hell unless there was a way to redeem themselves. When Jesus addressed the Jews on this matter, it is important to understand that He had also let them know that, while His coming had opened the doors of Heaven to all people that accepted Christ as Savior, the Jews would be treated no differently - they also had to accept Christ to be saved.

[Sergeant Naitraj] David, who is licensed to carry a weapon off duty and resides on Kentwood Forest Drive in Chester, wants a jury trial.

I would pay to be on that jury! BTW how much do y'all want to bet that during voir dire people with shooting experience - or even worse, certified firearm safety instructors - get dismissed.

I've fired over a million rounds of rifle, pistol, and shotgun in my life and I agree with your philosophy on AD's. Haven't had one yet but I know there's one waiting just around the corner. That's why I treat every gun as if it is loaded, including one that I have just unloaded and verified that it is unloaded. People who cannot realize the potential that they hold in their hand and be willing to take firearms seriously should not use firearms. There are good friends that I won't go out shooting with as they just don't have as they treat firearm too cavalierly.

As for stupid cops - I'm sure it runs in the exact same ratio as stupid civilians.

One thing that bothers me: pancake holster with a 5 1/2 inch strap? All pancakes that I've ever seen either use formfitting, spring clip, or thumb break retention systems. I can see a 5 1/2 inch retention strap on a field holster, but why on a pancake?

And As for one up the spout, absolutely, except for single action revolvers used in general carry. If it were a hostile situation and my only choice was a single action (unlikely), I'd sure as hell load the empty chamber before hand if I had time (unlikely) or the slightest hint that things might get hairy. Besides it's the 21st and only bozo's would use a single action for other than recreation.

That said I'm sure that some bozo is going to respond with some argument to the contrary.

I was not arguing the veracity of his point, one way or another. Just pointing out that it was completely off topic, and should have been a private mail to you.

Sweet! How do you make that happen?

I know that now, since he clarified. His statement had multiple implications, depending on interpretation, and it was not clear which he meant. He could have just as well meant that the statement somehow didn't apply to anyone other than Jews, since Jesus was speaking to only Jews, and that therefore there were somehow multiple paths (or no paths) for non-Jews to obtain salvation. He clarified and everything's clear now. No problems. Sorry I misunderstood.

Not really! A 1911 firing uncontrollably (releasing the trigger won't necessarily stop the firing, only an empty mag or a jam will do that) isn't a fun thing to try to keep pointed downrange in a safe direction.
