Well, you're certainly free to avoid shopping at Macy's. But the right not to be grossed out by legal commerce sounds an awful lot like the right of minorities to not be offended, ie, not a right at all.

Trust ME: Macey's has done a cost benefit analysis on this sale and has determined that they will Gain More Dollars From Gays that they will Lose From Social Conservatives.
BTW-Macy's are in cities like New York, San Francisco, Boston, Miami Beach and even Houston where there populations are rather liberal.
Did you ever wonder why Macy's does not open up a shop in De Moines, Iowa, for example?

I am sure the Christan Conservative Groups from Harvard and MIT will be protesting at the Macy's window by daybreak.

Both guys? Who's gonna be left to picket the Da Vinci Code?

Have you ever been into an IKEA or seen their catalog?
Look at the pictures of the bedrooms sets. Many have one bed and two closets filled with men's clothes.
It looks like Bert & Ernie but they only have One Bed!
BTW-The Man who OWNS IKEA is one of the top 10 richest persons on earth.

So... the women are removing their breasts while the men get implants? I had to change the channel the other day when a plastic surgeon was going to give implants to a man the other day. Super disgusting. Aren't the homosexuals always taking pride in 'who they are'? They don't seem to be happy or like themselves very much..
I feel like i'm in the twilight zone.

Macy's is owned by Federated Department Stores. They own quite a few stores under different names.

Odds are 50/50 that at least one of the two Christan Conservatives and Harvard and MIT are Gay.
Thus the gay one goes to picket Da Vinci and the "Straight" One goes Macy's and buys really cool clothes for his buddy that has been at the movieplex all day.

My roommate one year at MIT was a real right-to-life fanatic; part of one of the fringy groups bordering on vandalism, etc. Real weird guy otherwise too.
I'd suggest that MIT students probably have better uses of their time then this.
To: pnz1
1. Gays spend more on clothes than the VAST majority of women.
2. The Straight people that shop at Macy's are educated and wealthy and less likely to be offended by gays in the windows.
3. The rest of the population cannot afford to shop and Macy's and thus CANNOT BOYCOT Macy's!

Went to UT Austin and dated a MIT Girl in Boston.
She was really freaky, in an amazing, creative, imaginative and adventurous way. Wife: please do not read this post.

The more gays are "in the face" with their lifestyle, the more convinced I become that its an insecurity issue for them. In their heart of hearts, they know it is abnormal behaviour and thus the need for acceptance. Why else is it so important to them for others to say "its ok" if not to feel better about it themselves?

They are in Honolulu too. I haven't been by one in a while though. I may have to make a trip to the mall just to see if this crap is being put on display there.

Macy's is just a made-in-china department store.

Macy's online wedding registry is huge and seems to the most common one chosen by couples. Many people shop there for engagement and wedding gifts even if they don't ever set foot in Macy's. Male/female engaged couples need to learn about this, so they can choose to set up their registries elsewhere. Those of us that regularly buy from the registry should avoid it, regardless of whether a couple is registered there. There's no law that you have to buy your gift from their registry. We need to tell Macy's wedding registry that we will not longer buy from them and why.

You're making too much sense here.

So, am I to assume you'll continue shopping at Macy's then? Dude, homosexuals have a high disposable income. If businesses want to cater to them, who cares? I'm not in favor of homosexuals getting preferential treatment through government mandates though. But if Ford advertises in a gay publication the world comes to an end.

Never been to Des Moines, but we have one in Greenville, SC. You should visit Des Moines. The Iowa state fair is the best in the country. Plus Des Moines is a city that's being slept on. It's a big city without the big city problems. Sort of like Minneapolis.
