Good point. When the GOP goes down the tubes in November, he can look at this one issue as the reason. "The border? We're doin' a heck of a job there!"
I'm not so sure that the GOP is "going down the tubes". What seems to be happening in many cases all over the country is that conservatives are getting stronger, and RINOs are walking a thinner line.
