Despite a blizzard of negative press coverage, Ann Coulters new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism has surged all the way to No. 1 on Amazon.coms list of bestsellers -- just two days after its official publication. [Editors Note: Get Anns book much cheaper than Amazon! Go Here Now]
On Wednesday Hillary Clinton lashed out at Coulter for what she called her "vicious, mean-spirited attack on a group of outspoken 9/11 widows, whom the conservative television pundit described as "self-obsessed, and said Coulters book should have been called "heartless.
The media attack on Coulter began Tuesday with her first book interview on NBCs Today Show. Host Matt Lauer claimed that Coulter had cruelly criticized several 9/11 widows.
But criticism from the establishment media hasnt hurt sales of Coulters book at all.
In "Godless, Coulter argues that in addition to being a political movement and philosophy, liberalism is a twisted religion whose deity is itself and she details liberalisms war on traditional religion and God. All of Coulters previous books have also been New York Times bestsellers: "How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must), "Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right, "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism and "High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton.
"And what do you have against her selling books? You seem peeved that she's successful. That last comment just oozes envy..."
oozes envy huh? Where did you get that? Quite the twisting and exaggeration on your part.
I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with anyone writing a book and making tons of money off of it.
I was only musing about her possible motivations for stirring up such controversy. Obviously, if you want to sell books, it always helps to get publicity.
And when everyone knows that Barnes & Nobles hides her books in the deep recesses of the store, perhaps she feels this is the type of publicity she needs to inspire people to do the proper digging they need to do to find it.
"Now why am I not surprised?
You wouldn't would you?"
And you would...wouldn't you?
Like I said in an earlier post....I guess it comes to personal taste as to what you think is funny or not.
Muslims are recently arrested in Canada.
They behead people in Iraq.
They flew planes into our buildings.
They attacked Spain.
They attacked England.
They rioted in France.
They dragged our dead servicemen around and hung them from bridges.
They rejoiced in Palestine and New Jersey on 9/11.
They blew up our embassy in the Sudan.
They blew up the towers where Air Force personnel lived.
They blew up the Marine barracks and murdered our Marines.
They attacked the USS Cole.
They are involved in every hot on the globe.
How do you want to refer to them?
Are you implying that if I am not swept off my feet at Ann's every word then I must be a moonbat?
They are murderers. They are terrorists.
They terrorize their own people who would also fall into Ann's "raghead" category.
And when the Vice President is part of the audience he is placed in an awkward position because he has to deal with muslims every day and try to assure them the US is not waging a holy war against Islam.
There is a line by Robert Duvall's character in the movie "Open Range" that I really like:
"Good health to them that has it comin'..."
An excellent article! You've hit the nail on the head with regard to WHY Ann is totally correct in her assertions regarding the "Witches of East Brunswick". I ordered my copy from Amazon and can't wait to read it. And that is the way all of Ann's books are - hard hitting, controversial, and full of the TRUTH about libs.
But we will. Take the case of the ones in Canada just arrested. Nothing from the mosque they came from. No cry of outrage from their fellow muslims. Take Iraq. Their new PM criticizes the Marines actions yet nothing about concerning the school bus abductions. The war is coming!
I'd consider getting the book on CD....does she talk as fast on that as in real life though?
Please post your picture so we can see how perfect you are.
And like a breath of fresh air......
Yes, I'd like to join in with those who'd like to see a little documentation to back up your rhetoric,
You have to ask? ;o)
"I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with anyone writing a book and making tons of money off of it"
Glad to hear it. I now apologize for my characterization of your comment.
Where it came from? Too many folks avoiding the argument by whipping out the canard about "she just selling books".
bump
I'm a senior citizen, and I've always found Ann Coulter highly entertaining, extremely intelligent and well informed, and a breath of fresh air.
She jumps right into controversy with a reasoned outlook, and says the things I wish I were smart enough to say faster than I could ever think of them.
Furthermore, she's pretty and stylish. That's nice to see, in a bright young woman.
God bless you, Ann Coulter. You are a National Treasure.
