Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma just returned from his 11th trip to Iraq. Hewitt concluded an interview with him and among the highlights:
The Minister of Defense asked if the American people had the will to finish with helping Iraq. Inhofe said the American people did but maybe the media didn't.
The new minster of defense in Iraq, Abdul-Qadir Muhammed Jasim, told Inhofe: "I hate CNN."
This was said in English and the reporters heard it!

How would you pick just one! This is the most wonderful day and this president risked his life to be with his troops and with that fledgling Iraqi government in a hotbed of terrorism. What a hero in my eyes...and should be in the eyes of the world. We'll see!

He flew there last night to meet with the new Iraqi cabinet, which, as you know, they have the new Prime Minister -- Maliki is his name -- and then he just completed the cabinet last week with the new Defense Minister and Interior Minister. So he is there while his Cabinet, the President's Cabinet is at Camp David. They'll have closed, secure videoconference, the two cabinets getting to know each other. And so, I'm thrilled and I'm proud of my husband. (Applause.)
His face simply glows when he is with his troops! God bless him and keep him safe on his journey home, and God keep the troops safe.
