The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops policy paper on its support of illegal immigration
U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops ^ | Walter Ewing

Posted on 06/14/2006 4:52:10 PM PDT by garbageseeker

I am posting this article because very few people know that the Catholic Church is going out of their way to make sure CIRA is the law of the land. The church has supported illegal immigration for many years and they have been active in getting CIRA passed. I also publishing this article in the hopes that the many Catholics who support the House of Representatives would know what their church is doing on the illegal immigration issue in the United States. I really do not think that Roman Catholics know the churches position on this matter.I know that there are many Catholics out there who support the "borders enforcement only" approach, not the approach the pro-illegal immigrant. approach our leaders has taken.

The post wasn't made to YOU.

The person to whom I wrote those words understood them; which you don't.

You do NOT own FR; nor do YOU get to tell others what they may and may not do.

And though you long for a flame war, I suggest that you've picked the wrong person to grant you that desire.

I belong to the Catholic Church sinkspur and I think rather than give our money to the church anymore that we should give it all to other charities that support illegals if that is what the church wants.

Of course IMO the Church is doing this for money and potential future Catholics, not for IMO the because it is only the right thing to do.

If they were doing this out of ethics we'd see them on a whole lot of other fronts this hard and heavy, like Africa. No money in some areas, so they are darn near silent.

There is money in illegals and the Church and that IMO is their interest.

At this point it is really pissing me off. Why not go to Mexico and scream on their streets about the corruption and crime that makes all these people come to America? But you will not see that because there is no money in that...

This lengthy document can be summarized as follws:

The Case for Legalization

The predicted population growth of non-birth control using immigrants from Mexico will transform the USA into a Roman Catholic nation within 2 generations ( 40 years)

That is enough reason for us to support the continued US policy on illegal aliens from Mexico in increments of 15 to 30 thousand per day.

US domestic policy and foreign policy would then in the future be properly aligned with that of the Holy See.

( BARF ALERT!)

No religious group should become politically dominant in the USA, for it would be the end of the Grand Experiment as we know the Republic. The government of the United Staes was carefully constructed to allow many kinds of freedoms to its populace, so the government of the United Staes , floating on a god fearing populace is one thing, but every one trying ti get into that boat will surely sink it.

I believe that the Roman Catholic Church in America is just another corporate lobbying group, and just as dangerous to our freedom as Abramoff and his running dogs, if not moreso.

I am a Freemason and Proud of it. There aren't enough Roman Catholics in the world to take awy my connection of Freemasonry to the founding fathers of our nation.

Notice how freedom of association by the RC church is suppressed by "BAN."

Who in hell do you think you are? No body bans any freedom of association in this country without paying a price and that price is ridicule.

I spit on your shadow and at your acceptance and spread of acceptance of a loss of freedom on this Republican list. Get thee to a nunnery!

I also am a Mason. The fact that the Masonic secrets are to be withheld from the confessional is the real reason why the chuirch bans its congregation from being Masons. There aren't enough Roman Catolics in the World who coud act togethre to derrogate from my constitutional right of freedom of association with my brother free masons.

If you are a Roman Catholic and a Freemason, I salute and commend you and your sense of fraterity. The Church cannot stand fraternal organizations, ending the Prder of the Knoghts Templar hundreds of years ago ( Pope Clemement) and the Templars sought refuge with the Scottish Order of Free Mason. We have been at odds with the Roman Catholic Church ever since, and are proud of that fact.

If you are a Roman Catholic, you are not free, unless you undertsand and follow the self evident truth that all men crave freedom, one which is ignored by the Roman Catholic church.

I commend you for being a truly free Roman Catholic, and for having a lot more sense than many bleating sheep on this list who can only follow rather than to think for themselves, and who wrongly castigate you for it.

Typical Masonic behavior?

You are free to disagree with the Church's request that its members not join the Masons. You are also free to act like an ass on FR to make your point.

The post wasn't made to YOU.

If YOU want PRIVACY, write a LETTER.

The person to whom I wrote those words understood them; which you don't.

Well, if you meant your original comments as part of a tongue in cheek joke, I'm sorry. I was just responding directly to what you posted. But, you could have given me a clue early on that you were just joking.

You do NOT own FR; nor do YOU get to tell others what they may and may not do.

Nor do YOU. But, anyway. I will never again tell YOU to "lighten-up."

(I may however suggest you "chill out" or "take a pill".

The fact that the Masonic secrets are to be withheld from the confessional is the real reason why the chuirch bans its congregation from being Masons.

Is that right? Or could it possibly be because of blatant anti-Catholicism such as, "If you are a Roman Catholic, you are not free, unless you understander and follow the self evident truth that all men crave freedom, one which is ignored by the Roman Catholic church."

As to,"There aren't enough Roman Catolics in the World who coud act togethre to derrogate from my constitutional right of freedom of association with my brother free masons."

No Catolic has the slightest interest in acting together or individually to "derrogate" from your constitutional right of freedom of association with your brother free masons. (Catholics could care less as well.)

The Church cannot stand fraternal organizations...

Right. Maybe you haven't heard of these guys?
