Art ping.
Let Sam Cree, Woofie, or me know if you want on or off this art ping list.

Cool! I love it when I can actually make out what the subject of a painting is.
Not that I don't dislike modern art but some of it is just crap.

Oooooo, I love it! It is indeed beautiful.
I wish I had known it was for sale. I would have bid on it.

I used to read about the long drawn out litigation. I'm surprised that a Klimt has drawn such a figure though.

That's my favorite Klimt. I like it much better than The Kiss.

To paraphrase Rodney Dangerfield...
Party Guest: Your wife was just showing me her Kilmt.
Rodney: You too? She shows it to everbody!!!

A couple links above. If I'm not mistaken, the family was Klimt's patron.

Well, at least you can tell it's a painting.
Previously, the art world gave an official prize to the pedestal and board a sculpture was supposed to be standing upon.
(The sculpture, missing from the "exhibit" of the pedestal and board, was not awarded a prize in its absence.) The sculptor of the missing sculpture was heard to complain about the lack of a prize for a lack of a sculpture, saying in effect, "the absence of art is art" in today's modern art world.

Stunning - absolutely beautiful.
Bought some new hair product the other day and the graphics were pure Klimt.
