See that the Senate is going into session at 2:15. I may break my puter if I watch

I saw that. I'll chalk it up to grief for the moment.

Rush just had a clip from Kerry who denied that the Democrats plan for Iraq was not "Cut and Run". He said the Democrats had a "better plan". While not telling what that was, he said the Republican plan was "Lie and Die".

Can you believe it? I positively despise this man. I wish the first Purple Heart he received in Vietnam would have been his only one.

How very sad. Thank God for our heroes.

Exactly! I caught that story yesterday about the Yusufiyah playground, a perfect illustration of the deep contrast between the civilized people we are and the barbarians they are. Those kids parents were hiding the kidnappers/killers of our troops, the same troops who built the playground!!!

They're Old Testament barbarians needing an Old Testament response! This is WAR!!

Just heard on the radio - 970 WFLA that the soldiers bodies were booby trapped and beheaded!

God rest their souls and give solace to the families.

I hate the Bastards that did this!!

Agreed, we can not afford to leave Iraq without killing the killers all of them. If the Iraqs hide the killers then we will have to kill the Iraqs too. This is the war of civilizations, to lose means death sooner or later.

Yes, why do we have such precise rules of engagement when the enemy has none?

And what, exactly, are the IRAQIS doing to eliminate the bloodthristy terrorists in their midst?

The Iraqi troops should have our troops' backs, but to my knowledge they don't.

Then as I was typing this I realized I really don't want that and for one reason only. I don't want our brave young men and women sinking to the level of the damned.

At the same time we are fighting an enemy that has no rules on engagement to hinder it.

Would you want to be trackable everywhere you go?

It would seem that the device could and should remain in an "off" position until needed.

Years ago, spys had a nitro or poison capsule that they could bite down upon in the event they were captured or tortured.

In today's age, a soldier surrounded by enemies could activate the homing device in some manner in case of extreme emergency.

Even if the device only worked for 48 hours, it should be enough to track and locate and rescue.

If you want to use THEIR methods, in other words, Old Testament methods, try this one:

Therefore Hanun took David's servants, shaved off half of their beards, cut off their garments in the middle, at their buttocks, and sent them away. 2 Sam 10:4 (NKJV)

Rather good non-verbal communication, IMO.

Good point. I suppose it is ineveitable that our technology would fall into enemy hands.

Nonsense. A common credit or debit card has a specific account number.

There should be no possible way for the enemy...especially an enemy with no familiarity to indoor plumbing...to break the code within a reasonable short period of time in which our military could mount a rescue, recovery, or at the very minimum engage the enemy.

This is probably an off-the-wall thought, but I have wondered why the soldiers were described by the witness as "getting into a vehicle" with the masked attackers, which would imply that they weren't fighting back much. While it's possible that the witness is lying, I wonder if perhaps there was someone there they knew (an Iraqi) who gave them reason to believe that they would not be harmed. Then again, the details are so vague that I'm probably just letting my imagination get out of control. Still, I think relying on the Iraqis, while I know we have to do it for various reasons, could be a little risky for our guys.

I wish the first Purple Heart he received in Vietnam would have been his only one.

And awarded posthumously.

I liked the plan, proposed here yesterday, to offer THEM Kerry and Murtha in exchange for our two soldiers.

Someone else said, heck, throw in Durbin, Kennedy, Leahy, Boxer and Rodham!!

What I would give for our boys to still be alive!
I have a very hard time relinquishing them to death and the Great Beyond. Precious lives that mean so much to us, and less than nothing to the BARBARIANS.

Time to step it up and do what we know we can do!!

And what, exactly, are the IRAQIS doing

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT DEFENDING THOSE IRAQUIS WHO ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

They are lining up to join the police or the army, and being blown up by their own countrymen. They are fighting alongside (well, maybe just a little bit behind) our heroes. SOME of them are trying.

And what would be so bad about a little civil war? What is so worth saving over there?

Before you all pile on, I've supported this war (Yep, I'm proud to say I'm ProWar!), this President and our troops since 11:00 a.m. 9-11-01. I'm just getting tired of our side always playing by the rules, and the reffing SUCKS!!!

It is a mystery to me also as to how they were captured. You may not be far off in your speculation.

And, if we still have the town secured, we should be able to find the killers.

Although we will never know all the details of this tragedy.
