My wife is from there ....if it's as good as I hear and the locals don't mind a white boy paddling in with them we may retire there.
Now I'm so stoked I'll have to tell my boss I'm coming down with something and go home......
There aren't many "local" surfers... those that do are using boards left behind by the pros that visited. Which coast will you be going to?
If you are on the north west, go to Mona Lisa Surf Cottages, the break is right there and the food is awesome. Broiled Lapu-lapu and rice... the best after a session.
