Marines, sailor to be charged with murder
By ROBERT BURNS, AP Military Writer 6 minutes ago
The Marine Corps on Wednesday planned to charge seven Marines and one sailor with murder in connection with the April death of an Iraqi civilian, a defense official said.
At Camp Pendleton, Calif., where the eight accused service members are being held in a military brig, officials announced that a news conference would be held later Wednesday concerning the alleged killing of the Iraqi in the village of Hamdaniya. But the announcement did not mention murder or other charges.
The official who disclosed the Marine plans asked not to be identified publicly because the official announcement was still pending.

Killing people during a war. Who'd do such a thing...
ping
1 shiite murders Hussein's lawyer another Iraqi blows people up another Iraqi kidnaps 40 workers another Iraqi murders two of our soldiers yet one Iraqi dies and the system goes apesh*t and charges 6 marines and 1 sailor with his death. What the h*ll is wrong with this picture?
You forgot the Russians.
Military prosecutors are traitors.
Charges do not equate a conviction....Murtha made similar charges only to prove there was no "wrong-doing".
Mr. Posting Policeman,
Your post is a headline without a story.
It is called "political correctness" gone amuck. I blame we, the people, for letting the libs have their way in defining our society and how we react to situations. Regular American people seem to have lost the ability to reason and use commonsense. We don't connect the dots anymore, fact is we don't see the dots. It has been so hammered into our social consciousness that we cannot judge that we have lost the ability to make fair and sensible decisions about everything. It is really a sad day for America when there is little or no outcry over two soldiers tortured and murdered. Without proof, the driveby media would have us all believe that these Marines and one sailor did wrong by killing a civilian during war with no evidence on how it happened. The MSM media panders to emotions and the American people accept it as truth. A really sad day for all Americans.
