BTW, frankenmonkey when are you going to post on FR that you live in Connecticut and are going to vote against Chris Shays. You don't even have the cajones to post where you come from.
Fess up...you don't even live in the Intermountain West. I give much more credence to the opinions of my neighbors in Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho and Montana they I'd give to someone in the hip-pocket of Washington DC...
Come on Dane, what State do you reside in?

You(Dane) don't even have the cajones to post where you come from Gee colorcountry, speaking for "(al)frankenmonkey" all the sudden.
At least I have the cajones to not be a coward and post under two different screen names, ala you(DUmmie).

I'm going to post a personal story here since Dane likes to refer to Jacob as a creep....it isn't true.
I met John Jacobs during the campaign leading to the GOP convention. He is honest, conservative, and a straight shooter. I was impressed. I went into the race with my vote securely in favor of Chris Cannon....that is until I met him.
Chris never says anything...he dances around issues always trying to come down on the right side of whichever wind is blowing. He talks the talk (but not very good.) He comes across as simple-minded. You don't believe me? Find a link showing the guy talking, it will boggle the mind.
On Memorial Day, I attended the ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at Camp Williams. It was one of the only "official" ceremonies in Utah. Orin Hatch was the keynote speaker.
It was attended by a small crowd...mostly aging WWII vets or widow's of vets. There were a scattering of Viet Nam Veterans and people like me, parents of current military personnel.
Across the room, I noticed, was John Jacob and his wife. They sat in an obscure position, they remained obscure. No one knew them, or knew they were there. I watched this wonderful man brought to tears as the tribute was given to our heroes who have defended our freedom. Orin Hatch talked more about the songs he has written and what was going to be published and released, he talked about his own legislation and everything HE had accomplished, he talked about the sacrifice of his brother in WWII and his brother-in-law in Viet Nam....it was all about him.
Jacob was there...in the background, unobserved, paying tribute to the dead, with humility, respect and honor. It wasn't Jacob's day. He quietly left in quiet reverence.
He is a good man.

Come on Dane, what State do you reside in? As I recall Dane was/is from Pennsylvania. No doubt he'll be at the Arlen Specter field hearings complaining the Senate bill is way too restrictive. :)

Dane probably works for Chris Cannon
