"So does that mean the ninth boy is THREE TIMES A LADY!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
LOL - I was thinking something along that line, my youngest brother would, according to the +1/3 chance for every older brother, have a 6/3 chance of being gay...
"For each additional older brother, a boy's chance of being homosexual increases by a third, it says."
My Dad must be really gay, the gayest of his family.
He has 6 older brothers and only 1 sister (all older).
Granted 1 of them died and Dad never knew him, but still, that's 5 older brothers to contend with.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Although, be careful of the word "genetic". In a Clintonesque way that could be construed to mean "inherited", but it also should cover mere problems that occur biologically.
I think it's extremely possible most homos are DEFECTIVE. They are mutants. After all, who in their *right mind* would be homo?
I'm sure some homos have been made that way by being abused, etc. It's the only way they know to relate, etc. But average people raised perfectly fine - who would choose to be excited by "that" if they're really "thinking straight"?
Bottom line, it doesn't matter - bad is bad, no matter the reason. Just because there are people who are naturally killers - and I mean there are truly evil people in the world - doesn't mean they don't deserve to get the axe less than those who were pushed to the brink at the moment. They all deserve to be treated the same way - for their actions.
I agree with you completely.
"Sadly, the American Association of Psychologists believes it is another 'variation' on normal. My question is 'what's normal about it?'."
Meanwhile, all the rest of us have SOME kind of "disorder" for them to diagnose and medicate. Ironic that "normalcy" is a broad spectrum when homosexuality (and its relatives) comes up, but most of the time it's very narrow and almost no1 is "normal" according to these leeches who probably should be psychoanalyzing themselves for obsessing on finding that every idiosyncracy is "deviant" and cause for "therapy".
Exactly.
I have a good friend, well had until I told her about NAMBLA, but anyway..she has three kids, oldest is a gay male, middle child a girl who is attractive and now in early 40s and a virgin - we suspected she can't admit to herself that she's a lesbian, and the 3rd child, a male who was molested by a neighbor as a child, has recovered from a drug problem and is straight. So basically a gay, a lesbian, and a hetrosexual male - one of each. She told me the oldest boy always played with dolls and other girl things, the girl was always a tomboy.
I was in the horse world and the design world and it just appears that while some gays may have had a choice, in that they appear and behave like straights, others just never would have been normal males.
Well, admission alert...I did too when I was really little. In addition to all the boy stuff tho.
I'm wary of the "never would have been normal" line because it's not clear that what you are seeing in your friends is nurture not nature. It sounds like they have had rough lives, and it is possible that a traumatic incident in childhood (such as an abusive male figure in the house) can disrupt a child's normal development.
I'm curious why there is no rabid search for the "gene" that leads to bulimia, or social phobia, etc. etc.
Other than the youngest, and ironically the most normal, they didn't have trauma...they had a lot of money, a businesman father who was fairly passive around the house, a stay at home doting mom...The Waltons...or so we thought. On the other hand, I know a number of people who had abusive childhoods who are very straight. So...maybe only God knows the answer for sure.
