GAZA DIPLOMATS: WE HAVE FOUND KIDNAPPED SOLDIER
Arutz Sheva - Israel National News ^ | 6/27/06

Posted on 06/27/2006 8:52:31 AM PDT by areafiftyone

(IsraelNN.com) Diplomats living in Gaza have stated that they have located the whereabouts of Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped yesterday during the terror attack on Kerem Shalom. The prime minister has stated that Israel will not agree to the release of Arab prisoners, and Israel has threatened to strike at senior Hamas figures, including members of the PA government, if Shalit is not released.

The diplomats, who are involved in negotiations for his release, told the Ha’aretz newspaper that Gilad is being treated well. Although he is injured, he is in a good state of health. They also expressed their hope that he would be freed soon. The diplomats have stated that they know which group is responsible for his kidnap, but have refused to divulge this information.

Israel is currently involved in intensive negotiations, with the help of Egyptian mediators, for the soldier’s release. Messages have sent to the Palestinian Authority threatening serious action against leading Hamas figures if Gilad is not released soon. Defense Minister Amir Peretz and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Dan Chalutz have stated that they consider the Palestinian Authority and its officials as responsible for the soldier’s welfare.

This was reported yesterday. "Diplomats" claim they have visited captured soldier, but would not disclose his location to IDF.

Loud boom, promptly followed by "here he is!"
Funny how that works.

I am not suprised if Israel knows where the soldier is being held. I would be suprised if they said they knew.

Intensive negotiations? Make them an offer they can't refuse.

The offer could be that Israel is going to bulldoze and treat with herbicide a 20,000 meter wide kill zone along the border, and if so much as a goat wanders into the Dead Zone, it will be the focal point of a regimental Time-On-Target, followed by a napalm attack to cook the remains. The negotiation point is whether Hamas will voluntarily evacuate or the IDF will simply obliterate every structure, bush, and blade of grass. This game stops NOW!

No such thing as a Palestinian.

And with much feared terrorists.

They can no longer hide behind civilians, women and children.

Yeah sure, like they just suddenly know now. They "have found" him because they knew there were about a dozen missiles with their names on them.

I don't think the current Israeli govt has the guts to do what you so thoughtfully suggest.

"Although he is injured, he is in a good state of health."

This simply does not compute. If he's injured, he's NOT in a "good state of health."

I don't know how credible the source is, but they have a democRAT way with words.

and Israel has threatened to strike at senior Hamas figures,

The senior people are never really into the "martyr thing."

"Well Shazaam! We found him"
