"honest reply" yeah sure man, it is honest, in that she believes it. If you believe it, along with that drivel you added, than hey...your honest too. But that is really not the point is it? I am quite uncertain what it is that you're attempting to say here. Please re-express your issue in simple, clear and plain English.

Thanks for that correction. I was so confused that I didn't whether it was my ADD or my Alzheimer's acting up again, but I guess maybe it was yours. Oh, well, we're both all right now.

I don't see anything Reba said that would justify the writer's description of her as "furious"....

That and I think he used to use comments from her talking about how great is show is coming off of commercial breaks.

Interesting...
The Dixie Chicks on tour, and not a single concert South of the Mason/Dixon line....
Shouldn't they be renamed the Yankee Yahoos?

Check out one of the reader comments to the story (profanity edited):
"This is a culture war. We didn't start it, but it's on. I say we shove a spiked baseball bat up Reba's tw*t."This is like those who say that, "This is not the America that I grew up in>" While they're whining about flag burning, war protesting, gay marriage and universal health care.

Still haven't learned, have you?
Never ever teach a pig to sing. All you'll do is annoy the pig.
P.S. Isn't it "Mcintire? Gotta love these public screwl gradiots.

Reba was also terrific as Nellie in "South Pacific" broadcast live on PBS from Carnegie Hall. The Richard Rodgers family selected her to play the Mary Martin role. She got rave reviews.

Give 'em a couple of years, and they will all be back waiting tables at a cross-roads truck stop!
Stoopid has a way of coming home to roost, huh?

McEntire is furious. She's quoted in the New York Daily News, saying, "(I'm) very disappointed. I've never turned my back on country music. "So when somebody talks bad about my music, my family, that does not set well with me. And when you bite the hand that feeds you, I just don't think that's very nice." These comments don't seem to reflect the "ferosity" hinted at in the article. Tame in comparison to anything the Chicks state, they are honorable and I'd wager stated with an observable class.
The Chicks have really done well for themselves haven't they? They've entered that stage of ones career where one becomes a has been so they spout of anti-American garbage in search of relevancy. Only usually that doesn't occur until you are far older in the industry. They took a hot career and blew it up. It may say something for their "convictions", but if they were really so happy with the consequences they wouldn't have developed a petty new album and continued the assault on Americans in desperation for a few extra bucks from burned out Leftists that prefer rock.
I like rock but they do NOT have crossover appeal to this genre.

Shouldn't they be renamed the Yankee Yahoos? There are some d*mn-good Yankees who would be terribly insulted by such a slur. My wife among them.

He interviewed a good looking lady, editor, from Billboard Magazine who said that their new music is not catching on with anyone. Pop doesn't want them and their style of music; of course, they've insulted their old fans. So, what can you do?

Reba's a nice girl and all that. And a real sweetheart. But I don't think I'd go so far as to say she "paved the way". There were at least a couple generations of women who came before her that would deserve that kind of acclaim.
