In a tragic printing error, the T-shirts read, "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hams!" in Hebrew...

My daughter bought a T-shirt in Israel that has on it what looks like Hebrew writing, the Hebrew is meaningless but when you turn it upside down it says in English "Go F*** Yourself"

i didnt write this... it is from Arutz-7 (israel national news)...

having said that, do you favor mixing religions into a glob of meaningless "feelgoodism"? yes, all religion is take it or leave it. none of them are meant to be mixed, well most aren't. what is your real point?

Sounds more like it translates to "kick me". ;-)

[what is your real point?]

They are nothing but bigots! And yes, different religions should live together.

who said living together was a problem? i presume you mean on earth? on do you mean in the same house?

charedim should have no problem with Christians living anywhere, unless it is on a street in their neighborhood, with shirts or signs saying essentially, blind the lines between religious doctrine.

bigotry is in the eye of the beholder. people still have rights not to be harrassed.

i guess most folks arent used to seeing the shoe on the other foot...

You claim to seek "honesty" but you speak dishonest bigotry and that is despicable.

They are the scum of the earth. Maybe a good muslim will teach them about loving thy neighbor.

What comes around, goes around.

False dichotomy. You argue very dishonestly.

Yesterday, there was a thread entitled, "Where Are the Christian Defenders of Zion?"

This may be them.

I never heard of that rule.

It is an unspoken rule but it is vigorously enforced as any ethical person can see from many of the posts on this thread including yours.

I'm still trying to pick out your "bigoted" statements.

Maybe we can find a way to inject creationism/evolution into this and have some real fun.....

This is your most dishonest and bigoted post yet. You claim that these attackers both allow and disallow the presence of others, you deliberately distort the Christians' message, and you again equate evangelism with harrassment. To do all this is common in Israel, of course, but unacceptable in America. God bless America.

You are just being silly. You suggest that what I posted is part of enforcing an unwritten (oops unspoken) rule out here concerning the criticism of Israel's Jews not caring for proselityzers in their neighborhoods?

HEY FREEPERS, JEWS IN ISRAEL DO NOT WANT TO BE CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY, AND ESPECIALLY BY TOURISTS FROM GERMANY, OR ANYPLACE ELSE.

OH, AND WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISCUSS THAT FACT ON FREE REPUBLIC BECAUSE IT IS AN UNSPOKEN RULE HERE.

I just found out about that longstanding FR rule!

Look, the rules of Mea She'arim are simple. You don't wander in wearing a t-shirt (men or women), a mini-skirt, or a tube top. The damn sign says that at the entrance. Why is it that tourists seem to think the rules of a community don't apply to them?

Additionally, why do they feel a need to go proselytize in Mea She'arim? Downtown Gaza too dangerous?

please explain the "distortion"?

if you come to my house and i ask you to leave, do you have a "religious" right to keep coming back?
