Bill Gates' Planned-Parenthood-President Dad Inspired Pro-Abort Funding

NEW YORK, May 9, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In a lengthy interview with Bill Moyers released today, Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates reveals the inspiration for his funding of pro-abortion population control measures. Responding to a question by Moyers on how he came to fund "reproductive issues" Gates answered, "When I was growing up, my parents were always involved in various volunteer things. My dad was head of Planned Parenthood. And it was very controversial to be involved with that. And so it's fascinating. At the dinner table my parents are very good at sharing the things that they were doing. And almost treating us like adults, talking about that."

In the interview Gates says he is moved by measurable progress and on "safe birth reproductive family planning issues" he says, "There's a measurable impact when you can go in and educate families, but primarily women, about their different choices. There's real impact that you can have in this area. Anything to do with reproductive health."

Although prodded more than once by Moyers, Gates refused a direct attack on President Bush's pro-life measures such as promotion of abstinence prior to marriage.

He admits that he was at one time a convinced Malthusian. "You know I thought it was.before I learned about it, I thought it was paradoxical. Well if you improve health, aren't you just dooming people to deal with such a lack of resources where they won't be educated or they won't have enough food? You know, sort of a Malthusian view of what would take place."

However, he claims he has seen beyond Malthusian conceptions of useless eaters since, he says, he has seen that by improving health and education population decreases as parents decide to have less children. Despite all his distancing from Malthus, Gates remains steadfast to the unfounded Malthusian fear of overpopulation.

but wouldn't it be better if people in africa had effective birth control and abortion, so they might only have, say two mouths to feed somewhat adequately then having fifteen that can't be fed and die of aids when their 17?

I'm curious, would you rather be dead than poor, hungry or high risk of mortal illness?

Well I am sure there are a lot of things that seem better to us. For instance I think it is better if people who piss me off get out of my face. it would serve me best if people who got in my way were dead. But it is not right that I kill them. In a way, Bill thinks something is better for others that involves killing people. To act on that is a deep, deep sin that begins with pride--the original sin ("I want to be like God."). No matter how you slice it, killing large segments of a population anywhere, unless there is war, is wrong and very arrogant.

What if Bill is right? What if Bill is wrong? Either way huge segments of children will never be born and we (like in America), will never really know the great loss. What if a future Nelson Mendella type or Gandi, or Jesus or whatever type was never to be born. It could change the direction of the world. All because Bill Gates had some theoretical concept about 'helping' people. He could kill us all. We never know. Only God knows.

"huh, maybe we can send him a copy of that video showing a partial birth abortion...wonder if his Dad and Mom were able to share something like THAT? "

This is exactly what should be required of all the pro-abortion folks. They should be forced to watch it 20 times and then see if that is their "choice".

Read about Planned Parenthood, this is how it all started:

How Planned Parenthood Duped America

At a March 1925 international birth control gathering in New York City, a speaker warned of the menace posed by the "black" and "yellow" peril. The man was not a Nazi or Klansman; he was Dr. S. Adolphus Knopf, a member of Margaret Sanger's American Birth Control League (ABCL), which along with other groups eventually became known as Planned Parenthood.

Sanger's other colleagues included avowed and sophisticated racists. One, Lothrop Stoddard, was a Harvard graduate and the author of The Rising Tide of Color against White Supremacy. Stoddard was something of a Nazi enthusiast who described the eugenic practices of the Third Reich as "scientific" and "humanitarian." And Dr. Harry Laughlin, another Sanger associate and board member for her group, spoke of purifying America's human "breeding stock" and purging America's "bad strains." These "strains" included the "shiftless, ignorant, and worthless class of antisocial whites of the South."

Not to be outdone by her followers, Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as "unfit," a plan she said would be the "salvation of American civilization.: And she also spike of those who were "irresponsible and reckless," among whom she included those " whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers." She further contended that "there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped." That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered "unfit" cannot be easily refuted.

While Planned Parenthood's current apologists try to place some distance between the eugenics and birth control movements, history definitively says otherwise. The eugenic theme figured prominently in the Birth Control Review, which Sanger founded in 1917. She published such articles as "Some Moral Aspects of Eugenics" (June 1920), "The Eugenic Conscience" (February 1921), "The purpose of Eugenics" (December 1924), "Birth Control and Positive Eugenics" (July 1925), "Birth Control: The True Eugenics" (August 1928), and many others.

These eugenic and racial origins are hardly what most people associate with the modern Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), which gave its Margaret Sanger award to the late Dr. Martin Luther King in 1966, and whose current president, Faye Wattleton, is black, a former nurse, and attractive.

The best effective birth control is to not do it. Plain and simple. Teach abstinence, sell abstinence, give tools for abstinence.

[I wonder what Warren Buffet is thinking now?]

Obviously, he is not thinking, Buffet has lost his mind. What billionaire gives away his billions to another billionaire? Why not start his own foundation? I wonder what convinced Buffet. This is really very odd.

Gates, having created the Universe (in the form of Microsoft), now rests and surveys the product of that Universe and thinks, "It is good, but not good enough."

Now he will perfect the Universe with his foundation and its vast sums of money by exterminating those cannot fight back and have committed the modern day crime of being "unwanted".

Gates is ignorant of the great truth that he is, in fact, not God. God is God. That is why God told Moses to tell the children of Israel that "I AM has sent you." God created the children that Gates seeks to exterminate. God is not mocked.

"Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;
Their foot shall slip in due time;
For the day of their calamity is at hand,
And the things to come hasten upon them."
- Deuteronomy 32:35

Great post. Ties in perfectly. What you do not specify, to those of us who don't know, is Margaret Sanger's relationship to Planned Parenthood, what was it exactly?

Birth control is one thing, but what do you care if a child is killed by dismemberment rather than AIDS or starvation?

Gates didn't even "create" Microsoft. The story is, he bought the software for (I think) $41,000 back in the day. He's a business man, not a creator and waaaaay over-rated. I heard the story back in the early 80's, from people who knew what they were talking about. Basically, he stole it, and that is the real deal.

Heck all anyone has to ask themselves here is how many bugs does every release of every level of Windows have? Billions by now I am sure. Which goes to show, he and his minions are very, very wrong at times.

Think about one crash of your system (if you are a PC person-forced or by choice) at a vital moment when information has not been saved and multiple this mistake by a trillion a trillion times ad infinitum and this is the beginning of how great a mistake this would be. All starting with one man. Except now we are not talking documents we are talking about human lives . . .

Maybe Buffet has already had this conversation, as I am sure he has--someone mentioned this article is three years old--and he is on board because of this or it may be one of the impetuses for giving this money to Bill.

Mr Gates must be an anti-Semite because Margaret Sanger who started PP was a HUGE anti-Semite and she was trying eugenics with PP!!
