I covered that in my post. Moderate Muslims exist, but their souls have been warped so as to be still sitting on the fence after the atrocities committed by their fellow Muslims.
The most we hear from them are whispered admonitions that the terrorists do not represent Islam, yet they know very well that the terrorists represent the fullness of Islam, and thus their protests are quiet and private - and often only expressed in conversation rather than in public.
Their fence sitting is indicative of the divide between Christian and Muslim cultures, regardless of the environment in which they are raised.
Then don't come to me about being profiled , harrassed,or reviled!

Keeping an online diary is akin to keeping a loaded gun around a 2 year old. Sooner or later, someone's ass is going to get bit. Bloggers are a laugh riot.
Don't tell me that. I'm for profiling. I'm not in favor of hatred though. Hate should be reserved for those proven to be acting against our country or our allies. All others should be treated to a dispassionate, non-plussed acceptance. Innocent until proven guilty, but dispassionately and discreetly watched.
For the Muslims who enjoy our freedoms and don't denounce the extremism in their faith - I can only have disdain for a faith that is so lost that it cannot denounce the deliberate murder of innocents. But I have a similar disdain and dislike for all moral equivocators who cannot condemn the terrorists - including those on the Left who should know better and don't have the excuse of being Muslim themselves.
Not only hypocrisy, but clearly insanity. To be a female Muslim (or suicide bomber) is akin to being a good Nazi, a nice medieval torturer/executer, or a kind and compassionate Dr. Kervorkian.
I just talked to a woman where I work. She is on the women's committee. There are two Muslim women on the committee, I get the idea that the Muslim women are defensive about any criticism about how Muslim women are treated in Muslim countries. I wonder if this is being repeated all over the country.

I am on record as favouring robust free speech and Mr Trad can vilify all he wants. However it's worth pointing out that if someone had written about Islam on the same terms as Mr Trad has compared various countries unfavourably to his Islamic utopia, that person would be before the courts in a tick and his co-religionists would be screaming about outbreaks of 'racism' against Muslims. In this country you should be willing to take as good as you give, 'Brother' Trad. Unfortunately people like you want to have the best of both worlds.
