The Bottom Line

Father Xavier Ochoa is part of the West Coast network of clerical and hierarchical sodomites who dominate AmChurch today. Whether he was one of Ziemann's many sexual partners, or simply acted as a pimp for the bishop — or both — is irrelevant at this point. The fact is he knows too much about who's who in the clerical sodomite zoo in California. And that is why Father Ochoa is safe in Mexico and not sitting in a Santa Rosa jail.

As I have said all along there is room for the "P" for pedophiles in the GLBT alliance. Actually, the P has been there all along, like the details on the disgusting acts homosexuals perform, they never talk about it. The second "B" addition is not far down the pervert road.

The REAL bottom line is that there will be a new book re-telling stories that knowledgeable people already knew. All of this is "old" news. To me it seems obvious that this will just be used as another weapon to attack ALL Catholics, ALL priests, ALL bishops, and the entire Catholic Church rather than just the so-called Lavender Mafia.

But when profit can be made...why should anyone expect a "journalist" to publish a book on something that really is news when he can publish a money making rehash of bad news that people already knew?

Yikes. What an article. I would not want to be a Catholic on the West Coast, I'll tell you that.

As for Levada, I maintain that Benedict brought him to Rome because he knows where the bodies are buried in the US. We should be watching Levada's activities in Rome very carefully--I notice we haven't heard much from him since he left.

Mrs. Engels has done good work—among other things, getting Clinton's abortionist nominee for Surgeon General bounced. But she has no low gear. The broad assertion is true: There has been support and protection in the American hierarchy for homosexual priests and bishops that need to be rooted out, and no doubt many of the men she writes about acted just as she says.

But be careful about the particulars, because she's an emotional writer and an inveterate conspiracy enthusiast, and is capable of leaping to conclusions about individuals.

"Santa Rosa Bishop Daniel F. Walsh's complicity in the escape to Mexico of Jesuit Father Xavier Ochoa..."

Did he give him gas money or what?

"complicity" really sounds like a desperate attempt to advance a flimsy accusation of wrong doing.

One thing that is not mentioned that I feel is sorely lacking in the article is the plain truth that Catholics are taught to repent and forgive. It would be strange if the Bishop had tackled the Jesuit Father at the border and dragged him back to the FBI. To fault the Bishop for "complicity" and trying to turn it into a grand conspiracy theory is a display of gross misunderstanding of what the core Catholics belief and faith are all about.

There has been an acknowledged problem in the Church with this kind of thing, but this is 2006 and the Church has taken measures against those types of people from joining the Church and has paid large sums as I understand it to the victims.

This is a witch hunt that is tied to a book, which means profits, and that is shameful in the extreme.

I have been suspicious of Pio Laghi, the papal nuncio sent to America by Pope Paul II, for a long time.

He recommended a singular number of lousy, unfaithful bishops to the Pope, and I think that was one reason why the Pope failed for so long to turn things around in the National Bishop's conference. Every time a bad bishop retired, another bad bishop took his place.

I don't think this happened accidentally. I can't prove it, but I think Pio Laghi belonged to the circle of demonic figures in the Vatican who made it possible for dissent to spread so widely through the Church.
