I read an article once that set me back on my heels because I had never put it together before. In it a doctor cautioned that any woman contemplating marriage with a man whose wife had died of cervical cancer was at significant risk of contracting the cancer herself. Perhaps he was overstating the case, but I feel that many women are totally unaware of these potential dangers. As far as I know there is no HPV test for men.

So sorry to hear of your family member. Prayers for her.

A more accurate word sequence for such a person -- who gives all conservatives a bad name -- is "space head".

I don't know about that. There's studies that've said that whether or not the husband is circumcised is a big factor in cervical cancer. (Or was at the time of the studies, obviously STDs would only add to the cancer if they did anything.)

Then again, I'm not sure what the rate of cervical cancer is in women.
