GAZA, July 22 (Xinhua) -- The Islamic Jihad (Holy War) denied on Saturday that Palestinian militant groups had offered a truce with Israel.
CNN reported earlier that a senior Palestinian official revealed on condition of anonymity that the Palestinian militants would halt launching homemade rockets into Israel if Israel stopped its air and ground strike against the Gaza Strip.
Abu Ahmed, spokesman for the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, said in a statement that the report about ceasefire was totally untrue.
"Some parties (which he didn't name) aim to create confusion among the Palestinian people and their resistance forces against the Zionist occupation," he said.
He added that Islamic Jihad would continue attacks on Israel as long as Israeli kept assault on the Palestinians. Israel Radio, meanwhile, quoted Israeli army officials as saying that Israel won't stop its military offensive until an Israeli soldier kidnapped by Palestinian militants on June 25 is freed.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "JERUSALEM – It is only a "question of time" before Palestinian terror groups and other Islamic organizations in the Middle East target the United States both abroad and on the home front, Abu Nasser, second-in-command of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, told WorldNetDaily in an exclusive interview.
The information comes after FBI officials told reporters earlier this week they are searching for possible Hezbollah agents operating inside the U.S. amid concerns escalating tensions with Iran could trigger attacks on American soil.
According to Israeli security officials, Abu Nasser and the overall leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in northern Samaria, Ala Senakreh, coordinate their groups activities directly with Hezbollah. Sources in the Brigades admitted to WND they work in tandem with Hezbollah, which they say provides funding and training.
"The Americans deserve to be targeted because of their support to the enemy. ... It is a question of time before the revolutionary organizations in the Middle East will start targeting the Americans," said Abu Nasser, speaking to WND from Nablus.
The Al Aqsa Brigades, the declared "military wing" of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party, is responsible for scores of rocket and shooting attacks, and – together with Islamic Jihad – for every suicide bombing since last February's so-called cease-fire.
"One can say that these threats are just rhetoric, but the near past proved that these threats come more and more into reality," said Abu Nasser. "Believe me, it is a new era and I am suggesting to the American people to adopt a different policy and strategy because very soon they will deal with a unified Muslim world, but without the help of their agents in the Middle East."
The Al Aqsa Brigades is not thought to possess the ability to attack inside the U.S., but there are concerns its ally, Hezbollah, has infiltrated America and is seeking to attack.
Hezbollah representatives in Iran warned earlier this week the group stood ready to target U.S. and Israeli interests worldwide.
American law enforcement officials said they are taking the Hezbollah threats seriously.
"Because of the heightened difficulties surrounding U.S.-Iranian relations, the FBI has increased its focus on Hezbollah," said FBI spokesman Paul Bresson in Washington."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Terrorism took a new and bold step during the battle between Israel and Lebanese-based Hezbollah. The terror group raised the technological stakes by scoring a direct hit on an Israeli warship with a Chinese made radar guided cruise missile.
Press reports cited by the AP stated the missile was an "Iranian-made C-802 missile." The missile struck the Spear, an Israeli Saar 5-class missile ship. The warship is one of the most technologically advanced in the Israeli fleet, equipped with an array of high-tech weapons and sophisticated electronic counter-measures designed to defeat incoming missiles.
A second Hezbollah radar-guided anti-ship missile hit and sank a nearby Cambodian merchant ship around the time the Spear was struck. According to Israeli sources, 12 Egyptian sailors were pulled from the water by passing ships. Thus, while scoring a hit against Israel - Hezbollah has actually killed more innocent Sunni Muslims.
The C-802 missiles fired at the Israeli warship were provided with targeting information using long range radars. Israel responded to the threat by destroying several shore based Lebanese radar sites with air strikes.
The so-called Iranian made missile was actually manufactured in China and purchased by Iran. Iran recently test fired an air-launched version of the Chinese C-802 cruise missile, named "Noor" by Iran. The launch platform was believed to be a Russian Mil-17 helicopter.
The C-802 anti-ship missile was developed by China HaiYing Electro-Mechanical Technology Academy (CHETA), also known as 3rd Aerospace Academy, located in the southwest suburbs of Beijing."

He's an honorable guy- I used to listen to him on Mike Reagan's show in pre-web days, and the stuff he uncovered on violations of National Security ( by guess who? ) were astounding. And chilling.
I'm talking about the security codes for our satellites migrating from the Department of Defense, to Commerce ( Ron Brown... ) then out the door to who knows where? Same with the Legacy software that had details of every nuclear warhead we ever built- how to design, test and maintain them. Same Deal. How dud cruise missiles in Bosnia were recovered, shipped to Red China, and cloned.
And more- I can't remember it all, it was so pervasive and vast.
And all the while, assorted enablers among the public and the media chanted "the stock market's good, we're not at war, sooo what? Whooo cares?"
