N. Korea is really asking for it.

They are provoking and defying the world.

(slap) Pull yourself together! We really have no clue on how this all is playing out. Why would n. korea (chicoms proxy) show this huge weakness to the world?

Who cares. They did what they said they would do, and 5 times so far. Our response is what?? UN?? Maybe consult with China? And who showed weakness. Shall we wait for test after test until they have success if they did really fail. Seems to me that we were not so successful in our earlier test ourself. Shooting them down would have been a more important test. And NK would have lost face.

Fox is reporting that the number may be as high as seven and the ROK news folks are saying that the number is as much as 10.

Speaking of weird...did you happen to see the footage of the violent rain storm that blew through DC a little while ago. All the people on the mall went running for cover. The photos were unbelievable...downpour, but the wind looked like a tropical storm.

I'm across the Potomac in Arlington. It was an impressive little storm. I was commenting to some neighbors about being glad that I wasn't one of the couple of thousand people that were probably crowding into the Lincoln Memorial right about then. Our power went off for a couple of hours.

LiL' Kim is just pissed he's not allowed to celebrate the Fourth. They only had enough fuel for a quarter of a tank for the tape dong so it went down.

If they want a fight, there is no reason we have to give it to them. We're bigger, and smarter, than that.

They are simply showing the world that they (Kim) are impotent little nutcases.

Our response is as it should be: This is not an attack on the U.S. but on the region. Do you have any doubt that we could knock NK further into the Stone Age? It's more important, strategically, to gain allies in the region for the coming showdown vs. China. This is a big F-Up on the part of the Chinese- They either can't control Kim or their technology sucks.

I just checked CNN website:

"North Korea test-launched a Taepodong-2 missile early Wednesday along with several short-range rockets, but the long-range missile apparently failed, U.S. officials said.

U.S. National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley said there were five missile launches in all. One was the Taepodong-2 missile, and the other four were short-range. "

I'm in Florida and we're used to heavy thunderstorms, but that was a real frog choker if I ever saw one. The wind was whipping and they said they had to open government buildings to provide cover for the crowds on the Mall who were waiting for the fireworks and show.
