Hillary Clinton stumps for Angelides (CA Dem Gov. nominee)
Oroville Mercury Register ^ | July 8, 2006 | Josh Richman

Posted on 07/07/2006 6:51:03 PM PDT by FairOpinion

State Treasurer and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides has ``the right message for California,'' U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said after a breakfast fund-raiser today.

Clinton, D-N.Y., keynoted the minimum-$1,000-per-head event at the St. Regis Hotel and briefly addressed reporters afterward. But the purported 2008 presidential candidate departed amid reporters' shouted questions on topics such as same-sex marriage, which Angelides supports and she opposes.

She said she has known Angelides since he was the California Democratic Party's chairman as her husband, Bill Clinton, first ran for president. Together they ``made the case for the kind of future we wanted our country to have,'' she said, overcoming forecasts of a Republican win in 1992.

Former president George H.W. Bush reportedly will keynote a fund-raiser for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger later this month.

The Clintons remains frothing socialists who run solely on the pursuit of power. They could care less about this tax-and-spend socialist they are promoting. The Clinton have never, and will never, ever do ANYTHING that they do not see personal political advantage in....just ask Vince Foster...

Oroville doesn't have a hotel. I don't think it has a motel. It might have a KOA, but I'm not sure.

So, I'm clicking through to see where this story really took place.

Hillary Clinton, appearing today at San Francisco fundraiser for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Phil Angelides, did not comment on the Mulholland flap. In fact, reporters were not allowed to listen to her remarks at the event, or to look inside at attendees. She later said that Angelides is a great candidate.

It took place in San Franciso, but curiously enough major newspapers aren't reporting on it it much.

Here is the article from the San Francisco Chronicle:

Hillary ignores question on N.Y. gay marriage ruling; tells Angelides at S.F. fund-raiser to use some humor

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=14&entry_id=6856

Folks, there's security -- and then there's New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton-style security.

And that was on full display in the liberal bastion of San Francisco Friday, where Clinton, appeared at a $1000 a head breakfast fundraiser for state treasurer Phil Angelides at the St. Regis Hotel.

Though her appearance was billed as a "press availability," reporters were kept at bay in a "safe" press room, and security ordered them to stay inside and away from doors -- meaning they were barred from even seeing, much less hearing, her comings and goings.

The unusual corralling ensured the crowd of deep-pocketed donors was entire shielded from the press corps -- which was not allowed out to interview them later for reaction, also presumably on security grounds.

Then Clinton, the acknowledged Dem 2008 presidential pack leader, took no chances on the issue front. It was announced that Senator Clinton had a "tight schedule" and would deliver a statement on Angelides, only; no questions, please. So -- the day after a landmark New York Appeals Court ruling on gay marriage -- she simply ignored reporters' shouted queries on that topic, and fled out the door.

Three possibilities.

1) The room was empty.
2) No donor wanted to photographed with the weasel or mentioned in a national article as supporters of the weasel.
3) No donor wanted to be photographed with Clinton.

Both are losers who have a tight grip on the reins of power within their party organizations and they are generally resented by party operatives.

They started to report it, or were reporting it, but the Google News search brought out this obscure paper only, when I first did the search.

I have done the search again, and the very same article is coming up also published in other papers.

I don't know how long Hillary's stategy with the press will work. They love her and want to protect her, but they have huge egos, too.

She does a crappy job of feeding those egos.

Clinton and Agelides share a common personal trait in their management style of their respective party infrastructures: Pretension.

Neither is reported well liked by either Democrat party operatives or the management of the MSM.

It is no surprise that Bob Mulholland is the weasel's chief of state. Bob's style blends seamlessly with that of his boss.

Wow! That picture's body language is very telling. They don't even like each other.

And .. I've never seen Hillary looking worse. The botox or cosmetic surgery is beginning to fail.

As much as I dislike some of the stuff Arnold does, I will be forced to vote for him because I cannot stand the thought of a democrat for Gov.
