Ummm...a few things here.

This is essentially PRC propaganda. Their first generation SSBN was an embarrassing disaster - it doesn't even leave port. Just because the article gives you what you perceive is a fun axe to grind doesn't mean you ignore the sourcing.

And where did you get the idea that PLAN SSBN technology has much at all to do with Clinton?

It's overwhelmingly based on Russian technology, but I know it's not nearly as much fun to blame it on them. Hate to break it to you, but it's not like the Chinese military would be armed with rocks and pointed sticks were it not for Clinton.

The Chinese first had missles tipped with nuclear warheads aimed at US cities in the Reagan Administration.

Re #5

It is MIRV technology I referred to. Julang-2 is MIRV.

What you say is, of course, true. However, the Chinese did not get from Russia the effective and compact nuclear warhead designs needed for submarine IRBM use. The Russians are not so foolish as that. Instead those design techniques, and indeed, designs, came straight from the Clinton administration.

The Russians also withheld crucial ICBM-IRBM technologies. The Clinton administration did not.

The net effect was to move the Chinese from early 1950s nuclear weapons delivery systems almost into (depends on what "almost" means in this context!) a Polaris era capability. China received enough other technology (that we have not seen them use as yet) to move into a 1990s level state of the art. A great deal of effort is now necessary to ensure reasonable military superiority.

The Clinton administration has in effect cost the country trillions of dollars and years of development time.

Water under the bridge, of course.

I believe you are forgetting, perhaps conveniently, the fact that the Clinton Administration allowed there largest political contributor, LORAL SPACE and it's owner Bernie Sanders to sell China technology that allowed them to increase the throw weight, range and accuracy of their missiles. This sale was made against the advice of the CIA, FBI, State Dept and Pentagon, none of whom would sign off on the deal. Clinton then had the authority for this sale transfered to the Commerce Dept and the sale was made.

When it all came out LORAL SPACE was fined $14,000,000, a relative pittance, and China received technology that by all accounts advanced their missile program anywhere from 15-25 years.

And how accurate and how reliable were they? Care to address that issue, since you're so forthcoming with information?

They couldn't even get their large rockets into space with realiability, and you're trying to say they were a real threat?

What about MIRV tech? Where did they get that?

Gyros and MIRV tech were given to Chine during the Clinton administration because China's rockets were an unreliable ride to space. MIRV gave them the ability to put more than one object into space. It gave them multiple strike as well.

The operative word here is "CLINTON"!

He partied hardy, while the world changed.

Are you denying Clinton helped China to get technology to better launch their missles ..??

Wasn't it Loral who supplied that technology .. after Loral gave a huge donation to the Clinton '96 campaign ..??

<< .... it's not like the Chinese military would be armed with rocks and pointed sticks were it not for Clinton.

The Chinese first had "missles" tipped with "nuclear warheads" "aimed at US cities" (during) "the Reagan Administration." >>

Such was its pre-Cli'ton-regime efficacy, that -- but for the Cli'tons' personal and "administration's" tacit approvals and/or participations in un-and-anti-American sales, thefts, treasons, technology transfers and tradeoffs -- the peking-based predatory pack of lying, looting, mass-murdering, warlord-wannabe ghastly gangster bastards that so grandiosely calls itself "china" might as well have been armed with rocks and pointed sticks.

And even after the Cli'ton thefts and transfers of around a Trillion Dollars worth of America's most precious computer, engineering, nuclear, rocketery and every other imaginable kind of civilian and military secret, that gormless, gutless gang couldn't fight us for a determined American month.

"The Chinese first had missles tipped with nuclear warheads aimed at US cities in the Reagan Administration"

One small thing....they didnt WORK...

At least not until Clinton signed a presidential waiver for Loral aerospace to go over and fix their guidence systems...

Pop Loral aerospace into your browser and follow the money...

Yeah they had nukes....maybe one in ten might have made it into space...
