Liberals, appeasers and other America haters at home and abroad can now rejoice: Cindy Sheehan and her rabble rousing group called Codepink: Women for Peace, are going to single handedly force President Bush to withdraw troops from Iraq.
Sheehan, and her strange feminist sisterhood, have recently adopted a plan to join the ranks of Mahatma Gandhi and Cesar Chavez by conducting a hunger strike in order to make a peaceful political statement. The women plan to fast until President Bush pulls US troops out of Iraq.
According to Codepink hundreds of celebrities, veterans, mothers, and concerned citizens across the country will participate in a rolling fast. Strikers will include pro-marihuana activist and musician Willie Nelson along with America hating actors, Danny Glover, Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon.
When I first heard the news about Sheehans fast I thought I would see some real suffering. You know, something death defying like the time David Blaine sat in a Plexiglas cage on the River Thames in London fasting for 44 days.
Of course, being the weak kneed liberals that they are, Sheehan and her group are not exactly fasting like David Blaine, Mahatma Gandhi or Cesar Chavez by starving themselves for 20 or 30 straight days, but instead making up their own fasting rules. Simply put, they are conducting a rolling fast.
I'll bet you dollars to donuts that that one "day" is only from dawn to sunset, too.
Since when do Liberal get up at dawn?
Back when Mother Sheehan was doing her "*itch in the ditch" routine at Bush's ranch, I remember reading that she was actually sleeping in a motel at night. Anything is possible with her.
GLOVER, SHARPTON JOIN SHEEHAN HUNGER STRIKE: They will take turns fasting (FOR ONE DAY)

"Looks like she's trying to pull a fast one on us. :)"
Good one.
What do you think about Darnell's idea: Barbeque for Bush?
That's the beauty of it! By the time they pull their butts out of bed in the afternoon, it's only have a few hours until the sun goes down and they can call for that pizza delivery!
"I've gone 3-4 days with only water without any hardship. These liberals can't even go half a day without?
They don't have the resolve and integrity, or honor to even claim to be in the same class of activist as Ghandi."
I went longer than a week without eating once. I was laid off from work, not doing much, and I was pretty overweight. So I decided I wouldn't eat anything until I actually felt hunger in my stomach. I can remember how many days it was now, but it was over one week. By the time I finally felt hunger in my stomach I was thin, and I had lost 30 or 40 pounds. Kept it off, too.
I am planning to fast next Tuesday from 8pm until Wednesday around 6pm.
In general, I will take the 9pm to 6am shift, OK?
Wouldn't know, I will and always had eaten 3 meals a day 365 days a year.
When I see an article about this woman, I like to recall that the commanding general in Iraq is General Casey. He is the tribute to Casey Sheehan, that Casey Sheehan would most likely wish to be associated with. Casey Sheehan died after he volunteered to go on a rescue mission to extract troops who were pinned down in Sadr City. It happened on Palm Sunday just after he had been to Mass.
A one day fast? Bwahahaha!!! What a frickin' joke. In my younger days I went 2 days without eating all the time. Now I fast every day from 7 pm to 7 am.
Next, the mainstream media will be filming her holding her breath.

CONGRESSIONAL ACTION
SEC. 5. (a) Each report submitted pursuant to section 4(a)(1) shall be
transmitted to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and to the
President pro tempore of the Senate on the same calendar day. Each report so
transmitted shall be referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House
of Representatives and to the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate
for
appropriate action. If, when the report is transmitted, the Congress has
adjourned sine die or has adjourned for any period in excess of three
calendar
days, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro
tempore
of the Senate, if they deem it advisable (or if petitioned by at least 30
percent of the membership of their respective Houses) shall jointly request
the President to convene Congress in order that it may consider the report
and
take appropriate action pursuant to this section.
(b) Within sixty calendar days after a report is submitted or is required
to be submitted pursuant to section 4(a)(1), whichever is earlier, the
President shall terminate any use of Untied States Armed Forces with respect
to which such report was submitted (or required to be submitted), unless the
Congress (1) has declared war or has enacted a specific authorization for
such
use of United States Armed Forces, (2) has extended by law such sixty-day
period, or (3) is physically unable to meet as a result of an armed attack
upon the United States. Such sixty-day period shall be extended for not more
than an additional thirty days if the President determines and certifies to
the Congress in writing that unavoidable military necessity respecting the
safety of United States Armed Forces requires the continued use of such armed
forces in the course of bringing about a prompt removal of such forces.
(c) Notwithstanding subsection (b), at any time that United States Armed
Forces are engaged in hostilities outside the territory of the United States,
its possessions and territories without a declaration of war or specific
statutory authorization, such forces shall be removed by the President if the
Congress so directs by concurrent resolution.
What amazes me is that they don't see how foolish and childish this makes them appear. The only people that think they are sacrificing are the wackos on the far left and that's preaching to the choir. Normal people including the not so far left Democrats, Independents, Moderates and of course Republicans must be laughing to the point of tears as I am now at these fools. |
The little butt monkey sure doesn't look like she's lost any of that heft.
