TEHRAN, July 09 (ISNA)-Iran has successfully overhauled five 747 Bowings.
This is while before this, Iranian airlines had to send their planes to foreign companies, but today Iran has gained the ability to carryout this service with much lower expenses.
"Of course we can not deny the negative effects of the placed airplane part sanctions, but we have removed many of the obstacles through the aid of airlines," said the executing company's manager.

They can't even spell "Boeing" correctly. I don't think I'd want to fly in Iran Air's planes.LOL! My thoughts exactly...

Reports at the time, (which were quickly squashed,) was that the Iranian Airlines wasn't squawking anything.
The airline was coming directly toward the Vincenes, and the "passengers" were already dead.
There were also a couple short lived reports that an Iranian F-14 was directly behind the so called commercial airliner.
The F-14 was detected resulting in the shoot down.
That theory indicates a deliberate Iranian plan to get us to shoot down the airliner.

If I remember correctly all of the people that were pulled out of the water were naked. Subsequent reports stated that they believed that all the passengers were already dead prior to takeoff. It was a sympathy ploy by the Iranians against the Americans.

Actually this IS the correct spelling. Its a new model reviving ancient technology for takeoffs. (To save fuel as Iran is running low - hence their desire for nuclear energy.) They were going to call it the "Arrow" but they figured that name was already in use.

These aircraft fly the Mecca Pilgramage Route! When they arrive they turn to the Shrine and their landing gear flex and the aircraft says its prayers.

When they arrive they turn to the Shrine and their landing gear flex and the aircraft says its prayers. And so do all the passengers, out of their amazement that they actually survived the flight.

But, more than likely and from my personal experience, the vast majority of the used parts have improper or incomplete paperwork. Thus rendering them as bogus parts. I had to buy a rear evac door for an MD-80 to do a test and the parts guy asked me: "With paper or without?" I asked what the difference was and he said: "$25,000.

the vast majority of the used parts have improper or incomplete paperwork. This is an incorrect statement, at least in commercial use.

I was talking about only those parts that have been identified as "bogus"...the larger majority of "used parts" have the correct paperwork and can be traced by the FAA to the correct sources.
