CHATTANOOGA - The FBI will look into an online video that shows two men shooting a Quran with a military rifle and then leaving the bullet-riddled holy book at a Chattanooga mosque, an agent said Monday.
FBI agent Tim Burke said the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations asked the Justice Department to investigate the incident. He said no one from the local Muslim community had complained.
Justice Department spokesman Eric Holland said the request would be reviewed carefully.
Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Islamic group, said the video may have been recorded in Chattanooga a year ago.
The video titled "kill the koran" was posted on MySpace.com last month, Hooper said. It could still be seen on the Web site Monday.
Abdul Raheem Kabah, who Hooper identified as the imam, or prayer leader, of the Chattanooga mosque, did not return telephone messages Monday seeking comment.
A man on the Web site identifies himself as "mully88" and claims to live in Chattanooga. The author's profile lists as heroes "anybody that has killed a muslim or at least tried to kill a muslim." The site also contains slurs against Hispanics and blacks.

I can sleep well tonight knowing that the FBI has run in almost all of the bad guys and, instead of having agents sitting around twiddling their thumbs and collecting dust, has deployed them against the fiendish book-shooters.
Or, if the agents have nothing better to do, maybe the FBI could lend a few of them to whatever outfit it is that's responsible for finding whoever it was who tortured and mutilated those two soldiers a few weeks ago.
It probably has to do with the weapons used and if they were legal.
Posting this video brought this hassle on the guy who made it.

I am trying to find the video..I am wondering now if it was a full auto rifle after reading a few articles online...Some say the typical "Military Style" which usually is MSM speak for semis, but another article says it is was a (full auto) M-16. Then again most media outlets don't know the difference anyway.
Just thinking along those lines. Could have been an Islamist nut-job trying a set up.
Here's hope the FBI will get to the bottom of it and fast.

I found a video but I don't think it is the same one. The one I found is some dude and his buddies lighting up a Koran with some civilian semis and a 12 gauge. It says on his website that the FBI was investigating death threats against HIM and his family by a terrorist organization.
The vid I found is from June of last year.
Why? Is it now a federal crime to desecrate the Korna?
Perhaps we ought to videotape other holy books and see if the FBI will investigate.
