In what's shaping up to be a double-header night of rants, BootMurtha.com has received news that Rep. John Murtha will be the "honored speaker" at the Second Annual Al Gore Family Dinner this August 12.

Yes, that's right. Al Gore AND John Murtha, speaking at the same event.

The extravaganza is hosted by the Davidson County Democratic Party and will be held at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. [LINK to announcement]

No doubt. This also shows how Murtha is being used to raise $$$ for the Democrat Party nation-wide.

TO ALL WHO READ THIS THREAD:

Murtha is up for re-election in PA's District 12. Some say this is Pennsylvania District 12's issue alone.

But consider the fact that Murtha is now criss crossing America raising $$$ for liberals. And appearing on national talk shows spewing his same old 1993 errors (then Somalia, now Iraq) to cut and run.

Murtha is no longer just PA District 12's problem. Murtha is the nation's problem.

After America cut and ran from Somalia, Osama bin Laden said:

"But your most disgraceful case was in Somalia… However, when tens of your solders were killed in minor battles and one American pilot was dragged in the streets of Mogadishu, you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you... You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew; the extent of your impotence and weaknesses became very clear."

Wow.

And now, starting in Nov. 2005, John Murtha is saying the same thing -- cut and run -- only this time it's from Iraq.

Once again, Osama bin Laden has been encouraged:

bin Laden, June 2006: "We will continue, God willing, to fight you and your allies everywhere, in Iraq and Afghanistan and in Somalia and Sudan until we waste all your money and kill your men and you will return to your country in defeat as we defeated you before in Somalia."

Some say that John Murtha is too entrenched there in PA's District 12 to ever be defeated.

To that I say 2 words: Tom Daschle.

Tom Daschle was deeply entrenched in South Dakota. He was in a much more powerful position than Murtha -- Senate Minority Leader! What convinced the voters of South Dakota, after reelecting Daschle so much, to suddenly NOT reelect him?

The truth.

Former Senate Minority Leader Tom (Deeply Saddened) Daschle drew the wrath of conservatives back in 2003-4 when he used the filibuster to block votes on federal judiciary nominees. Money poured into that senatorial race from across America. And the truth won out.
