I wonder if we can recruit Ann Uccello, the last great GOP Mayor of Hartford (and a Conservative, to boot !). Yeah, she's in her 80s, but it's time to correct the oversight of her being denied the right to be the first woman Governor of CT back in 1970, by making her the first woman U.S. Senator from CT ! ;-)

A facinating idea. However, I'm more along the lines of Congressman Rob Simmons, a decorated Vietnam Veteran and former CIA Agent.
She would have been a great candidate in 1970, but I fear that today, in her 80s, she'd do even worse than Helen Delich Bentley did when she ran for Congress in MD in 2002.
