I cant say for sure. I do however believe a very large percentage of Americans will wish they had done something to stop the invasion in a few more years.

No argument there, and in fact all the polls say the same thing.

Is John Kerry teaching his flip-flopping ways to the entire Senate? With thanks to Polipundit for reporting on the creatons:

They Voted For It, Before They Voted Against Paying For It!

This is disgusting, our Senators who months earlier voted to build a fence along the border, have just voted overwhelmingly NOT to pay for it!:

Less than two months after voting overwhelmingly to build 370 miles of new fencing along the border with Mexico, the Senate yesterday voted against providing funds to build it.
“We do a lot of talking. We do a lot of legislating,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Alabama Republican whose amendment to fund the fence was killed on a 71-29 vote.

Did I mention this was disgusting? I haven’t yet looked at the Nay votes, but all of them, GOP, Democrat, should be voted right out of office. This is more of the same, 2 heads of the same stinkin’ elitist snake:

Virtually all Democrats were joined by the chamber’s lone independent and 28 Republicans in opposing Mr. Session’s amendment to the Homeland Security Appropriations Act. Only two Democrats – Sens. Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Thomas R. Carper of Delaware – supported funding the fence.
All told, 34 senators – including most of the Republican leadership – voted in May to build the fence but yesterday opposed funding it.

"There is no middle ground. Illegal aliens should go home and apply like the rest of the PLANET. Walking across the border gives them no more rights than the millions who are waiting to LEGALLY enter America."

The tactic is to keep moving your opponent to the "middle ground" until you've gotten everything you want. You're satisfied and your opponents satisfied thinking he's been a reasonable guy. This tactic has worked well for the socialist reformers for years.

"a nation of laws can only function when justice is temper by mercy -- without it, it disolves into a tyranny."

So when does the American citizen and taxpayer get justice and mercy?

Tough to find "middle ground when hundreds of rounds are whizzing by you:

"But few border crossers are terrorists or criminals.">>>>>>>>>

Yeah right..../sarc

Here's 52,000 Americans & their families that *might* disagree with you

Keep in mind these are only the top three crimes, & the stats for *only* the last 5 1/2 years.

Read it & weep........

________________________________

Check out the following to see who is the bigger threat to American Citizens today, terrorists or illegals. Feel free to share it.

Over 19,000 Americans have died a violent death at the hands of murderous illegal aliens since 9/11 (12 a day).*

Over 20,000 Americans have died at the hands of uninsured drunk driving illegal aliens since 9/11 (13 a day).*

Over 13,000 American children are the victim of a sex crime at the hands of illegal aliens since 9/11 (8 a day).*

Less than 7,000 Americans have died on 9/11 and after due to terrorism, including those who died fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

What is the bigger threat to Americans today, terrorist thugs or illegal aliens?

Well lets compromise:

Those who want illegals round up and hung are a bit much

So are those who want them here to stay here to vote Democratic turning America into a stink hole like much of the world

Let's compromise and throw them out of the Country...

Seems a reasonable middle ground to me.

Congressman Pence's plan is an idea that has been shopped around by the Krieble Foundation. In mid-2005, the Krieble Foundation came to FAIR asking our support for its solution to the nation's illegal immigration crisis—a privatized guest worker program that allows illegal aliens to participate. As a core principle, FAIR is opposed to amnesties and mass guest worker programs. FAIR stayed true to its principles and refused to sign on to the Krieble Foundation proposal. Unfortunately, in a well-intentioned but misguided effort to break the ongoing stalemate between the House and Senate, Mr. Pence signed on.

Now called the "Pence plan" and "a compromise" by some, this guest worker program exceeds even the Senate's guest worker plan because there are NO NUMERICAL LIMITS for at least three years. Everyone in the world, including illegal aliens in the United States, is invited to get a guest worker visa, called a "W" visa. Guest workers are immediately allowed to apply for a green card and as long as a guest worker's green card application is pending, his W visa is indefinitely renewable. Thus, this plan is nothing more than a back door amnesty.

The Pence plan is not about finding a legislative means to end our immigration crisis; it is about importing unlimited cheap labor and yet again compromising the future of the American worker. It is no wonder that President Bush and Vice President Cheney were willing to spend so much time learning about this plan. The plan is a gift to those in big business who are willing to sell out the American worker in order to profit off of cheap foreign labor.

a nation of laws can only function when justice is temper by mercy -- without it, it disolves into a tyranny.

Relaxing the most lenient immigration laws in the world is not mercy; it's suicide.

"Perhaps you would like it better if we put them all in camps until we could deport them -- or should we just stad them up in a line and frog march them back across the border?"

How about doing it today, is that soon enough.
