Though not a fan of Amarello, all this talk about collapses on his watch is nothing short of political hay.
Engineers do regular inspections of tunnels and bridges throughout the state.
The most recent reports on the TW tunnel indicated no structural problems or safety concerns.
Fat Matt has the misfortune of being the man on the throne when the sh!* hit the fan is all.

All the Massachusetts pols are running for cover, frantically playing Cover Your A$$ and scapegoating as fast as they can. For the boondoggle known as "The Big Dig" there's more than enough blame to go around the state three times and then some.
