In his original description, he thought he had seen a firework and that perhaps that firework had originated on the beach behind the house. We went to that location and realized that if he was only seeing the airplane, that he would not see a light appear from behind the rooftop of that house. The light would actually appear in the sky. It's high enough in the sky that that would have to happen.
When he was re-interviewed, he said that is indeed what happened. The light did appear in the sky. Now, when the FBI told us that, we got even more comfortable with our theory. He also described, he was asked to describe how high in the sky above the house he thought that light appeared, and he said it was as if – if you imagine a flag pole on top of the house it would be as if it were on the top or the tip of the flagpole."

so based on this info were did the missle come from.
So many years have passed, so much cover-up and so many gov't lies, so many questions remain...
Where am I after reading this? Same place I was before...don't really know thus occams razor.
I still remember the night that happened, they had a military flight crew at a press conference. They asked what they had seen as they were flying in the area, at a higher altitude than the TWA plane. Iremember the spokesman for the crew telling the reporters they were pushing flares out (at high altitude) and there was some concern that TWA 800 had hit one of these flares. This story and that line of investigation suddenly disappeared, and after that first night I never heard or saw anything about it again.
I remember having to ask my dad, "Why would they be pushing flares out of a plane at high altitude?" and he told me he didn't know. I still can't think of any other reason to be dumping flares from high altitude unless it involves some sort activity to provide a target for a missile.
I agree with many people, the "official" story on what happened to that plane is not what actually happened.
