I always wonder about films shown on AMC during times of crisis. Last night, 6 P.M., they showed Alfred Hitchcock's 'Foreign Correspondent', filmed in early forties. During the closing few minutes, the sound track is The Star Spangled Banner. Interestingly, the recent Superman movie deleted all reference to 'the American Way'...AMC showed another film later, also filmed during WWII, and the closing credits rolled to America the Beautiful. How times change. We're fighting modern Nazis and won't admit it.
