Sgt. Leonid Milkin of the Army National Guard returned home from duty in Iraq earlier than planned today. His wife and two children, along with his wife's sister, were brutally murdered in Kirkland, Wash. The Seattle Times has the report.

Lisa de Pasquale at The Right Angle highlights the unhinged comments of anti-military Bush-haters gloating over the soldier's tragedy. The derangement never ends. Go read the disgusting comments and then take action.

A memorial fund has been set by the family at US Bank under the name "Kirkland House Fire Victims." Also, the Washington National Guard set up a financial assistance fund in Leonid Milkin's name at the American Lake Credit Union in Camp Murray. The account number is 13743:

OMG, this is horrible!!!It's bad enough that this happens to anyone, but it is magnified tenfold, IMO, when it happens to one of our great fighting men and women.

I feel indescribable sadness for the soldier and his remaining loved ones, and offer prayers that he can be comforted knowing they are now safe with God.

As for the moonbats, I will have to keep my own council. Were I to say what I think of these despicable . . . . . . . JimRob would not only have to ban me for life, but my offspring, their offspring, and so on for about 7 generations!!!

I ask because my liberal mom won't believe that anti-war types are so hateful to soldiers. If I had the comments, I'd have some real proof to show her. I'm still trying to wake her up from the dream world she lives in.

Ok, thanks anyway though. If AOL pulled those posts (which it looks like they did), I totally understand why, but this sort of thing would be just the thing to shock people (like my mother) out of the belief that all anti-war folks are peaceful. Sigh, oh well.

Sadly I'm not surprised by these comments. I unfortunately live in one of the more liberal neighborhood in my state (which is a proud blue state now), and I have heard similar, and worse, while shopping at the grocery store. It's sad because I do like a lot of the people here, but I don't think they should have the franchise, not with the idiocy they spew forth from time to time.
