The biggest failing of the W administration, in my opinion: failure to fight long and hard for school vouchers.
It would have been a good idea to help break the NEA hold on education. As it is NEA is out to gut and destroy the testing and accountability (union members lose jobs) parts of No Child Left Behind.
Too many "moderate" Republicans who are NEA puppets to prevent a Federal voucher program in Congress.
