By the way, if you knew these facts about your genetic make-up, would you still want to pass your genes along?

You don't have to have a baby in order to pass on a family heritage. Many people adopt because of infertility and/or by choice.

I've never understood why that is absolutely critical to people, but if it weren't, I guess we wouldn't have that big IVF industry today.
