I am so in before the ping this time
Good morning all.
Map shows recent developments in the Israel, Lebanon crisis. (AP Graphic)
In before the ping?
Wow! That is one heck of a photo!
We need lives (I beat you by the way ) :)
You can't get that ping if you ain't got no swing...
Anyone surprised that military operations are still happening almost two weeks now?
Watching Josh Bolton on Meet the Press. Doing a great job. Timmy not to happy.
MIDDLE EAST LIVE THREAD PING
(If you wish to be added to the PING LIST please Freep Mail me)
Not much Freeping for me today. One of my co-workers is being treated in the hospital for decompression sickness (not that serious, but it required recompression) so I'll have to take over her chores as well as my own.
Just writing to tell you again how much I appreciate your initiative to start these threads. Well done!
Praying for the success and safety of the soldiers in the IDF.
Hey, good morning. Shlonek?
I'm sure the UN humanitarian chief will be saying that Hezbollah is using a "disproportionate" use of force. /s
Some really cool evac video is in the works, thanks to some anonymous Freepers.
Surprised? Yes- and RELIEVED! THRILLED EVEN!
I was so afraid we were going to see the whining about diplomacy.
After dealing with Iran Nutjob- I THINK (pray) the rest of the world is STARTING to get a clue......
nope. Although it may only be because the US is holding the world at bay.
LOL,- do we need to ping smartass?
Why was Sidon hit? What's there?
Is your friend a diver? How do you get decomprssion? Unless is was in a plane?
The Americans probably told the rest of the world to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
a mosque in sidon was being run by hezbollah, it was hit by air strikes last night, thousands have also fled there from southern lebanon.
I read that transcript ... every other comment by him to
Bolten was as "but" ... so predictable.
Iraqi Shi'ite Militia Ready to Join Fight(Lebanon)
Israelis react at the scene of a rocket attack in the northern Israeli city of Haifa July 23, 2006. More than a dozen Hizbollah rockets slammed into the northern Israeli city of Haifa on Sunday, killing two people and wounding 15, medics and the army said.
More photos you wont see on CNN

Thanks do you or anyone else know why grain silos were hit in Tripoli at the beginning of the conflict? Or were they grain silos?

Friends of Israeli soldier Liran Sa'adiya react during his funeral in the northen Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona Sunday, July 23, 2006. Sa'adiya was killed in the Lebanese village of Maroun Ras during exchange of fire with Hezbollah guerrillas on Saturday
What was it like over there?
There are random factors, differences in rocket performance, rpesence of Israeli aircraft, etc. to deal with.
Nasrullah probably has a sophisticated computer program and database to cover his launch sites, targets and rocket characteristics.
His aim gets better and better with time...
not sure about the grain silos, maybe trying to starve hezbollah out,,
"A man climbs on the dome of a mosgue, part of a religious complex that USED to consist of the mosque and a religious school"
What a beautiful sight...should be made into a postcard and mailed to every mosque in the US.
They may be dead but that is okay with a lot of our FR brethren.

One less weapons storage facility for Hezbollah.
CNN was showing one of their mobile rocket launchers...loaded in the back of a pickup truck.....they were setting up in trees, etc
I've never uploaded anything to YouTube. I have seen a few things on there, though.
Ah, so the reporters are trickling back into Iraq? I haven't met Steve Harrigan, although I've seen him on Fox plenty of times. The Baghdad media HQ is not far from where I am, though. Perhaps I'll pay a visit. ;-)
I have uploaded some stuff to YouTube....its free and they take up to 8 or 9 megs I think.....I was surprised how many people viewed my videos....
I give the IDF credit for what appears to be a methodical approach; the Hezebola beast has grown for six years and it will take time to map out its entrails. Progress is cumulative and "each link connects to two more".
