Ladies and Gentlemen,
I never thought for a moment that we would be where we are right now—on the verge of creating a political explosion unprecedented in modern political life. Our vision a couple of months ago was extremely limited in scope—we just wanted to “do our part” in making life uncomfortable for “al-Jazeera Jack” Murtha, but things have totally changed that vision.
What has happened is amazing! So many people from across the country have contacted us and encouraged us and contributed to our efforts that it appears like a true groundswell has emerged and is growing in size.
We are now cooperating with several other organizations as we labor to ensure Murtha’s defeat, and numerous 12th District (Murtha’s own) activists have come aboard.
Mind you, we did not invite ANYBODY to cooperate with us; these folks found out about us and asked how they could help. We are in the process of working out the details of how they can become involved, and they WILL be involved, as will (we hope) thousands more.
What can you do? First and foremost, copy our URL (www.bootmurtha.com) onto an introductory e-mail that you send to your entire conservative mailing list, asking your friends to check it out. The best weapon that we have in our arsenal right now is that website, thanks to the incredible efforts and creativity of our “webmistress,” Linda Eddy. PLEASE get the message out!
I am tickled to announce that www.operationstreetcorner.com is up and running. This is due to the phenomenal efforts of our other “webmistress,” Amanda Prewett Doss, who is the life force behind OSC. Thank you, Amanda, for all you’ve done to resurrect that important effort.
Finally, I have a continuing request: HELP US! We MUST respond to the “puff piece” the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review recently ran on Murtha. We just have to reply to such unmitigated propaganda, but it will cost a bundle--$12,500, to be precise. We’ve already raised over $3000 of that amount; PLEASE help us with the remaining $9000 or so.
You can best do that not by sending us your last political dime but by getting like-minded folks to help. Again, PLEASE forward the URLs of both our websites; once our natural allies see what we’re doing, they WILL help!
We have traction, as they say; we’re on the verge of a breakthrough that could shake up American politics as it has been shaken up few times in recent memory. I invite you to become part of that process. By booting “Jihad Jack” Murtha, you will send a seismic message to patriotic Americans that they CAN make a difference.
These times require that a difference be made; I think it will be made by right-thinking folks like us. Let’s help each other.
