I look forward to the ban on artery-clogging, love-handle-causing Chicago style pizza and hot dogs. Pretty soon obesity will be illegal, also.

And I live here. OMG, I love this article, they are looking like fools. Only another year or so, and I will be moving to a freedom loving, lower taxing area.

Thanks for the ping Gabz.

And wondering where I will move when my small town gets to this point.

I am already pursuing this, as my city has been amalgamated into the greater borg.

I live in the 'rural' area of my city, and for the $2400/year I pay in taxes, I get police and fire service, garbage pickup, and mail delivery to a community mail box.

My road is not paved, there are no city services of water or sewer, no street lights, no bonfires allowed.

If I sell, and move only 15 mins. further out from the city, I can have some freedom again.

The nanny state can bite me.

:-)

I sent the article to my alderman and told him they have become a laughingstock and to get out the behavior modification business. I'll let you know if I get a response, I kind of doubt it.

This reminds me of the movie "The Island" which was sort of like 1984.

Going to see the family, at the end of August and since my daughter has LOVED pate, from childhood, I'm gonna smuggle some in for her; with truffles, naturally. :-)

Thanks...I suspected that you would. :-)

And I always bring my own cigarettes, so that I don't EVER have to buy them in Chicago!

Oh no, the council of fools will exempt the small guy from these laws. They have tipped their hand about this already. They seem to be going after fast food and the chain restaurants.
