I wrote in Part 1 (World War III - what, me worry?, July 25) on the subject of how China and India would fail to react in the event that the West and Islam proceed toward a full conflagration, even if such a conflict would be a heaven-sent opportunity for both powers to fully realize their own strategic objectives. While current events dictate an eventual conflict, a number of factors will have to fall in place before World War III does break out. The roles for North Korea, Taiwan and Pakistan are falling into place in this conflict, and it is using these cards that the West and Islam can play the two ancient civilizations. I predict that future generations of Indians and Chinese will literally worship George W Bush and Osama bin Laden for having pushed the West into a disastrous conflict with Islam. An escalation of terrorist attacks against Christian and Jewish powers has already caused the moral compass to tilt against Islam.

A remarkable stupid article. The is nothing here that has even the slightest grip on current geo political reality. It is the rabid fantasy of a third world socialist who demonstrates a COMPLETE lack of even basic understanding of the conflict.
was gonna' say just that....
Somewhat myopic in some directions, presbyopic in others. The radical moslems have jumped the shark and everybody is watching the show now.
I'd say completely out of touch with reality
<< I predict that future generations of Indians ... will literally worship George W Bush .... >>
Why not?
Better to worship a Good Christian Man than the idols and the cows and the rats and other critters they kowtow to now!
:^) as usual, your response is hilarious.
I will worship a rat.
If you are an example of a "Good Christian Man", I would rather worship a rat.
Enlighten us with the reality.
Aren't the Indians supposed to be the Americans newest ally? Then why all the insults here?
I doubt you have even read the article.
Actually, some Indians worship rats (like Arjun Singh or Mulayam Yadav) and some worship cows (Jayalalitha comes to mind)........
Christianity is not a "White" religion -- it was present in India (thanks to St. Thomas), before it reached Western Europe. Besides which, the generalisation "worshipping cats and cows" is kind of silly -- Hinduism is a lot broader than that, yes, there are some very primitive practices clubbed under Hinduism, but there are also some very sophisticated philosophies like the Arya Samaj which are also Hindu.
"Indian Christians like me are caught in a fix when some overzealous members of this forum say something intending to insult Hindus, but generalize it toward all Indians."
True, Lol. I am Hindu but non-Indian and all these insults here are more anti-Indian insults than anti-Hindu.
I still think the article isn't based in real-politik. The ground realities are quite different. I do think we are in the middle of the war already but a lot does depend on whether the BJP and co. is in power in Delhi. One thing is such an eventuality as a war, say on Iran will mean that Pakistan will HAVE to reign in its terror-outfits if the BJP is in power.
As for China, they are already behind the Islamists everywhere. Its quite obvious. They will provide all the weaponry to the muzzy scum and smile and watch as the west sweats it out in the middle-east. The US MUST get Russia on its side soon.
An interesting perspective.
I think he places too much . . . faith or assumption or something in China's . . . reluctance to assert itself . . . when, in fact, China is quite eager to assert itself as top dog of the whole world. Of course, it is also much more patient than Western cultures about doing so at the most opportune and likely successful time.
I have long expected that China and/or India WITH the -stans--Islamic republics . . . could easily end up attacking Israel as the Biblical "king of the East" in the END TIMES.
Certainly China and probably Inida would be delighted to take the West's place as king of the heap--as head of a global government. I'm far from convinced they'd be likely to do so via the scenarios described in the article.
But, the article has some interesting assertions that are not the typical sort usually pontificated on.
We shall see.
One of the most wonderful aspects of India is the pervasiveness of the religion. Hinduism is a beautiful religion and it is not "in your face" in terms of prosteltyzing like the religions of Abraham often are.
Obviously this is just based my experience.
